The Bachelor of Information Technology is a highly practical degree that will equip you with a broad foundation of IT knowledge and skills and embeds work-integrated learning opportunities to prepare you for a successful career in the information technology (IT) industry. During your studies, your core units will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of key areas in IT and computer-based systems. From your second term, you will begin to study units from your chosen major - Application Development, Business Analysis or Cyber Security.

This course provides an opportunity for you to extend your knowledge through coursework into project management and/or develop a research career in your relevant profession. This course focuses on both the hard technical and soft human aspects of project management. All the course materials have been aligned to the Project Management Institute (PMI) global standards and core bodies of knowledge. In the final year of the course, you can choose one of three streams; a research stream, a practicum stream, or an internship stream.

If you opt for the research stream your project can be based on either your workplace or issues that are important to your profession. The research stream will also allow you to meet the eligibility criteria to enrol in a Ph.D. program should you have a plan for an academic career as it suffices the threshold ratio of the research components in the Masters Course. The practicum is student-led and you will develop a project within a simulated company environment. Alternatively, you can opt for an internship, and if you are eligible, you will be placed at a host organisation to further develop your skills and competencies and obtain authentic experience in project management. The Graduate Diploma of Business Administration allows articulation into the Master of Business Administration (MBA).

The Diploma of Business Studies course is designed to provide you with foundation skills in business and management. The course equips you with knowledge and skills required in business accounting, analytics, economics, legal issues in business, management and marketing; plus the opportunity to explore human resource management, property or financial planning. The course includes seven core units of study and one elective unit which provides you with foundation skills to either undertake further study in a business related bachelor degree or enter into employment. Successful completion of the diploma will provide opportunity for you to receive credit for eight units of study in the Bachelor of Business. You have the option to pathway into the second year of the Bachelor of Business degree or enter into employment. The course provides opportunity for you to undertake part time or online study while balancing your personal and professional commitments.
