Pharmaceutical Science aims at developing new medicines for the treatment of disease. This major covers topics including the chemistry, biology and technology of medicines and is ideally suited for students who have a strong interest in chemistry, drug action and discovery. You will learn how the chemistry of life determines the biology of cells, tissues and organisms, and explore the drug discovery process from the identification of suitable drug targets to the use of chemistry to isolate, design and apply molecules in the treatment of disease. Pharmaceutical Science underlies the business of a multi-billion dollar industry, which provides a huge range of employment opportunities. History
You have the opportunity to explore the nature of the modern world – the forces that have shaped our past and present, and the ways historians interpret historical events. Themes covered include the world in the twentieth century, war and peace, modernisation and social change, colonialism, and gender. Specialised subjects include the Holocaust, the French Revolution, Modern Asia, Slavery in the United States, the British Empire, colonial Papua New Guinea, and Sport in History.

Chinese
Mandarin Chinese is one of the world’s most important languages. Psychological science

This sequence prepares students for postgraduate training towards becoming a practicing registered psychologist. To practice as a psychologist students must complete an undergraduate degree with a major sequence in psychology followed by a fourth year of study in psychology (an Honours in Psychology or a Graduate Diploma of Psychology) that are accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC).
