Health Promotion
This major will equip students with a sound knowledge of the causes of health and illness and of effective strategies for prevention of the latter, as well as practical skills in health education and communication, health planning and management.

Clinical placements begin in Trimester 1 of first year and continue throughout every trimester of the course, totalling 800 hours. Clinical placements enable you to care for people from diverse cultural backgrounds in a range of healthcare settings, enabling application of knowledge and further development of technical and non-technical skills. They are undertaken in various metropolitan, regional and rural healthcare settings and are supported by qualified and experienced clinicians.

Plant Biology
This major sequence is ideally suited to those interested in botany and includes studies in plant morphology, identification, reproduction and evolution, as well as vegetation management and biogeography.

Build on the practical skills and depth of knowledge developed in the first three years of your degree by undertaking an advanced research project through Deakin's Bachelor of Film, Television and Animation (Honours). You will undergo an elevated study experience to emerge as a critically engaged, highly skilled screen practitioner and researcher.

The honours program opens doors to a career in the screen industry or the opportunity to delve deeper into your research with a masters degree or PhD.
