Business Information System
Major studies in information systems include business IT development, information systems strategy and governance, business databases, e-business systems, and business analysis and design.

This degree will provide you with the foundation research skills that will support your future career as a scientist or researcher.

In consultation with your discipline honours coordinator and your supervisor, you'll be allocated a project to develop your skills to an advanced level.

We live in a data-driven world. Huge volumes of information are generated at ever-increasing rates via social media, financial transactions, transportation, and scientific discovery, and the skills to understand this data have become a top priority.

The new interdisciplinary field of data science combines areas of computer science with mathematical statistics and domain expertise to manage and analyse data. Specialists develop the capability to derive insight and opportunity from the vast repositories of information that organisations collect. Data science also puts an emphasis on the specialised computational skills required to manage and analyse big data from sources such as social media, massive sensors, mobile and transaction data.

Through data science, businesses gain a competitive edge, governments deliver more targeted services, and research teams make new discoveries.

The Master of Human Resource Management degree focuses on a diverse global workforce. You will develop critical awareness of the legal, ethical, social, economic and environmental challenges and implications of HR strategy, operations, processes and decision making.

You will understand the application of HR practice within small and medium enterprises, including start-ups and entrepreneurial firms, and the public and not for profit sectors as well as multinational corporations.

This degree meets the needs of people with no previous formal HR qualifications who wish to enter the HR profession, as well as people with extensive experience who wish to update their knowledge of contemporary global thinking.

Use your advanced research skills to contribute to new developments in radiotherapy, diagnostic medical procedures and health physics.

This program is assessed by both a research project and the completion of five courses.

The research project is in medical or health physics, and is examined by thesis.

The coursework is vocationally relevant to radiotherapy, diagnostic imaging, radiation protection and health physics, and is available in online mode.

You will complete Research Methods for Sciences in your first semester. Four other courses will be undertaken in subsequent semesters.

The program is accredited by the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM) as an approved postgraduate qualification forming a compulsory component of the requirements to become a certified medical physicist.

Research activities are conducted within related research institutes and groups including the Applied Electromagnetics and Radiation Physics Research Group.

You will use state-of-the-art equipment and facilities including:

• Brachytherapy Afterloader suite
• Gel dosimetry
• Optical Tomography for 3D Dosimeters
• Anthropomorphic Phantoms
• Radiation Instrumentation Laboratory
