This program provides students with advanced study across the breadth of specialisations in Civil Engineering. It is designed to extend and deepen the knowledge and skills gained from an undergraduate degree in civil engineering. This new double degree will combine the study of what makes criminals tick with an understanding of the justice system and policy making processes. With a better understanding of how policy is created and applied, plus an understanding of crime and criminal behavior, you will be equipped to influence the policy underpinning the justice system to ultimately deter crime rather than simply responding to criminal behavior.

This degree will give you a better understanding of the causes and consequences of complex crime and criminal justice issues and just how it is currently dealt with by government at local, national and global levels.

In this degree, you will learn the multifaceted practice of professional Industrial Design, from the blue-sky activities of idea-generation and invention to the rigorous knowledge of engineering science. You'll learn through making as you get hands-on with advanced technologies, including 3D printing and other methods of cutting-edge manufacturing through to traditional craft/hand-making technologies and techniques. You will be prepared for careers ranging from design for mass-production to small scale manufacture and everything in between. All courses are taught under the guidance of our industry experienced teaching staff, and everything is viewed through the lens of sustainability and best professional practice.

This degree sits within the discipline of Architecture, Design and Planning and many of the core courses sit within the discipline of Mechanical Engineering. You'll be taught electronics, mechanics, thermofluids and more by engineering specialists, while also being taught design skills, digital modelling, 3D printing and programming by design professionals. The Master of International Tourism and Hospitality Management develops skills essential for managerial-level professionals in the services industry including advanced business acumen, strategic insight, high-level management skills and specialised industry knowledge - underscored by sustainability principles.

You will expand on your core business skills in areas such as financial planning, hospitality management and human resource management and enhance these with an understanding of how to manage in a culturally diverse context.

This program is designed to provide students with an opportunity to undertake advanced study and supervised research work in the specialisation defined by their undergraduate degree program within the context of a multidisciplinary cohort.

The research skills developed within this program will provide an attractive credential for students seeking employment in the public or private sectors. The program will also provide the necessary preparation for entry into a higher degree research program. If you are keen to work as a psychologist, this degree will give you a thorough grounding in clinical, developmental, biological, cognitive, and social and organisational psychology.

You will learn how to use interpersonal skills and the principles of counselling to help people with personal, health, vocational and social difficulties.

You will learn through extensive hands-on experience in state-of-the-art facilities, including a purpose-built teaching kitchen and a nutrition clinic in the new Griffith Health Centre.

You will develop skills in anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry before you take advanced study in human nutrition. In the final phase of your degree, you will complete a 20-week industry placement to put your skills into practice.

Through the course of your studies, you will develop a clear and insightful understanding of the principles of social justice, empowerment, and social inclusion. You will learn through hands-on experience as you undertake a professional placement in your final year of study.

The Graduate Diploma of Research Studies in Science is an 80 credit point program that provides an alternative route for entry into a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) program for applicants who do not possess the required qualifications for direct admission.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to apply for admission to MPhil or PhD candidature subject to fulfilment of requirements for candidature as specified in the Higher Degree Research policy and successful completion of the confirmation procedure. The grade achieved will determine entry to either a PhD or MPhil candidature.

The Program Director will be responsible for the overall supervision of the student and monitoring their progress throughout the program.

Students may choose to exit the Graduate Diploma program (after successfully completing the specified courses) with the Graduate Certificate in Research Studies in Science.
