Within the Master of Human Resource Management and Employment Relations component, you will study core areas of human resource management including strategy, international and comparative human resource management, recruitment and selection, and performance and reward management. You will learn high level critical, analytical and problem solving skills and how to apply these to better manage people and organisational change across international operations.

The Master of International Business will enhance your business competencies in an international context with a focus on Asia. Your studies will enable you to critically examine the social, cultural and political dimensions of global business and how to successfully implement sustainable business practices within this dynamic trade environment. The Griffith Master of International Business enrols students from all over the world, particularly professionals from Australia, Asia, Africa, Europe and North and South America. Griffith was the first university that offered a postgraduate International Business degree in the Southern Hemisphere. This program will enable students to develop a high competency in international business and equip students with strategic thinking and practical skills in dealing with a dynamic and culturally diverse global economy, which is increasingly digitised. This program emphasises engagement with industry. There are exciting opportunities for students to conduct projects with local and international corporations and to participate in supervised internships and exchange programs in Asia, North America and Europe through worldwide alliances.

This program is designed for graduate or professional scientists who wish to extend their skills and knowledge in clinical and environmental microbiology, bioinformatics, protein science, molecular biology and genomics and apply it in a competitive commercial environment. It is also suited to scientists wishing to become business/research managers and entrepreneurs in the exciting world of Biotechnology with applications in clinical, agriculture, food and the environment.

The Master of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) provides academic and pedagogical foundations for professionals who are or will be involved in work that focuses on the learning and teaching of English as a second or foreign language. The degree provides a qualification in the teaching of English in a variety of contexts with a strong focus on teaching in the Asia-Pacific region.

The program content is internationalised and intercultural, focusing on the development of a knowledge base and analytical skills that will enable graduates to operate in a range of roles involving the need to understand how second and foreign languages are learned. Much of the content of the program is also relevant to teachers of languages other than English. The course includes a research component requiring the knowledge and application of research principles and practices relating to professional work or learning in TESOL.

This combined degree produces professional engineers with a solid foundation in engineering principles and the managerial skills to run complex projects. Students develop knowledge and skills in their preferred Engineering major combined with key business competencies such as organisational behaviour, communication, economics, and quality control. Skills are enhanced through off-campus industry experience to prepare students for entry to the workforce.

Forensic investigators are skilled, dedicated professionals with the ability to keep an open mind and concentrate on hard evidence. In this degree, you will explore science in real life and receive training in handling criminal casework in forensic biology and forensic chemistry.

You will develop in-depth knowledge of new forensic analysis methods and innovations, and gain valuable experience from real casework. You will practise presenting expert evidence in moot courts. You will learn from academic staff who have been called to work on projects such as the forensic identification of victims of the Asian tsunami and the Bali bombings, and who provide expert evidence in Australian courts.

In your first year, you will take core courses in biology, chemistry, molecular genetics and forensic investigation. In your second and third years, you will focus on your chosen major and continue to develop your skills in core areas.

Graduates will be eligible to register to practice as a Physiotherapist within Australia following accreditation. Students will undertake biomedical, physical and behavioural science courses as well as physiotherapy academic and clinical courses. Before graduation, students will be required to demonstrate physiotherapy knowledge and skills required for entry-level clinical physiotherapy practice.

This program provides an innovative, student-centred and employability-focused curriculum with a strong emphasis on client-centred and evidence based-practice as well as experiential and inter-professional learning.

Bachelor of Arts graduates can undertake an additional year of study in the Honours program, which gives you the opportunity to build on the skills and knowledge gained in the foundation degree.

The Graduate Diploma of Research Studies in Information Technology is an 80 credit point program that provides an alternative route for entry into a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) program for applicants who do not possess the required qualifications for direct admission.

The Griffith Sciences Group will be responsible for the overall supervision of the student and monitoring their progress throughout the program.
