In your first year, develop fundamental knowledge in areas across chemistry, bioscience and health, with an additional focus on psychology and how to work with individuals in health and human services settings.

You'll learn:

• Molecular and cell biology - Understand the function of biological systems at the molecular and cellular levels, and how they relate to medical research and biotechnology.

Pharmaceutical Science

Drugs and therapies play an important role in the management and elimination of disease. The major in pharmaceutical science combines a broad range of scientific disciplines critical to the discovery, development and formulation of new medicinal drugs and therapies. Learn how drugs work, how they’re formulated, and why are some are given as tablets while others require injection. Explore why different therapies effect the human body in different ways and how we can provide safer and more effective pharmaceutical products.
