Pharmaceutical Science

Drugs and therapies play an important role in the management and elimination of disease. The major in pharmaceutical science combines a broad range of scientific disciplines critical to the discovery, development and formulation of new medicinal drugs and therapies. Learn how drugs work, how they’re formulated, and why are some are given as tablets while others require injection. Explore why different therapies effect the human body in different ways and how we can provide safer and more effective pharmaceutical products. Enterprise

As digital and operational disruption continues to radically re-shape the global business landscape, business leaders need to be agile, innovative, responsible and entrepreneurial to navigate this increasingly challenging environment. The Enterprise major will provide you with the enterprise knowledge and skills required to contribute effectively to business creation, development and change, either from the perspective of your own business venture, working for an existing business or as a business consultant. The major will develop understanding of fundamental business functions including finance, marketing and ethical practice with a focus on applying innovative and entrepreneurial thinking to startup business design or existing business strategic modification in the digital and disruptive business era.

The Master of Teaching (Primary) builds preservice teacher knowledge and skills to teach across the curriculum. There is an emphasis on researching teacher practice in numeracy and literacy.

There is demand in the sector to build efficacy of graduates in the areas of diagnostic learning, special needs, pedagogical expertise and relationship skill building. Sport management

Sport is an essential feature of Australian culture and is an important part of modern society. Our sport management industry is diverse, from managing grass roots sporting clubs and community organisations through to our elite sporting competitions, like the AFL or NRL. The sport manager  will have a strong background in both sport and business management.

The Sport Management major offered by the La Trobe Business School provides you with the business and management skills that you need to meet the demands of the growing sport industry including facilitating participation in sport, overseeing sport facilities and venues, sport marketing and revenue generation. You develop both your theoretical knowledge and applied management skills that directly impact the success of sporting codes, competitions, organisations, teams, individuals, and facilities.
