Accounting
This Accounting major will focus on the preparation, explanation and communication of accounting information that is essential for decision-making within a company. In this major, you will build practical, industry-based experience through units that involve assessments, group projects and Business Practicum.

Develop the management competencies required to be an effective manager in business, office or administrative environments. Learn about performance management, financial management and information management. Acquire skills to develop workplace policies and procedures and manage customer service. Bring value to the organisation by assisting the workplace to become more efficient and facilitating continuous improvement.

This qualification reflects the role of educators in early childhood education and care who work in regulated children’s education and care services in Australia. Educators at this level are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum that meets the requirements of an approved learning framework and for maintaining compliance in other areas of service operations. They use specialised knowledge and analyse and apply theoretical concepts to diverse work situations. They may have responsibility for supervision of volunteers or other educators. Early childhood educators work in long day care centres, family day care, pre-schools or kindergartens.

Work-Based Training
During Work-Based Training, you will be able to practice your skills and knowledge in real workplace settings. This will assist you to be job-ready> at graduation. Stanley College has entered into Work-Based Training agreements with a number of employers.

All Work-Based Training placements are organised by Stanley College’s Employment Liaison Team in consultation with students.

Students undertaking this course must be able to obtain the following, to complete the Work-Based Training component of this course*:

The Stanley College Bachelor of Community Services is a broad-based and comprehensive course. The course offers both breadth and depth in core areas. It provides graduates with a wide range of knowledge, critical reasoning skills, and abilities needed in the contemporary delivery of community services. The curriculum progresses from fundamental subject areas in the first year to slightly more specialised topics in the second, to themes and activities central to Field Work placements. In addition, there are two specialisations in the degree: Child and family protection; and Disability.
