When you undertake this double degree you’ll graduate with two separate degrees that provide a diverse but complementary knowledge and skill-base.

The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) component of this degree will give you a broad education in engineering so you can envision the different ways computer science can improve various engineering disciplines. Engineers develop practical solutions to technical and environmental problems by using science and mathematics. Through scientific discoveries engineers meet societal and consumer needs.

Medical science is the foundation that the practice of medicine is built on. This degree delves into how the human body functions and responds to disease and drug treatments. It incorporates facets of several scientific disciplines to provide you with an extensive understanding of the human body.

The Bachelor of Medical Science explores:

  • The structure and chemistry of the cells that make up living organisms (cell & molecular biology and biochemistry)
  • The structure and function of the human body (anatomy and physiology)

Optometrists diagnose vision problems, eye diseases and other eye health issues. These highly skilled professionals correct poor vision and manage or slow degenerative eye diseases with corrective lenses, optical aids, therapy or medication.

The Bachelor of Vision Science/Master of Clinical Optometry provides you with the clinical skills and training required to gain registration to practice optometry. It combines the theoretical discipline of vision science with the clinical expertise of primary eye care.
