UNSW’s Bachelor of Commerce/Arts is a double degree that will equip you with business experience and expertise, combined with the creativity, analytical and critical thinking skills that come with an arts degree. Both degrees offer flexibility, allowing you to shape your degree to match your ambitions and interests.

The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) has been designed with consultation from industry to set you up for lifelong employability. By combining your BCom with a Bachelor of Arts, you can choose from a diverse range of majors and subjects in the arts, humanities and social sciences. You'll develop an in-depth knowledge and breadth of understanding, gaining the tools to think critically, communicate effectively and conduct independent research.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Major)
You’ll develop entrepreneurship skills that help you survive, thrive and drive disruption. Your skills and experience will equip you to lead innovation and inspire colleagues in corporations, social enterprises, non-profit companies, government, or as CEO of your own startup. Computer engineering is an engineering discipline that combines computer science and electronic engineering to develop computer hardware and software. As a computer engineer you’ll become a leader in innovation and development of new technologies that impact the world.

Computer Engineers don’t just work with personal computer systems. You’ll learn about embedded systems for vehicles and operating systems for consumer electronics, telecommunications, medical equipment and more.

In this degree you’ll learn about the structure and integrated design of hardware and software components within computer systems, by combining elements of electrical engineering with computer science methods.

Computational design
This specialisation takes a different approach – resolving design challenges with cutting-edge technologies. Using various computer languages, you’ll encode decisions and test ideas spanning architecture, design, computer science and engineering.

Learning in studio-based classes, you’ll develop unique and in-demand skills, including 3D modelling, digital geometry, parametric design, responsive environments, and form-making. Become familiar with robotic and digital fabrication using 3D printers and laser cutters or Augmented Reality (AR) / Virtual Reality (VR) headsets to design for the metaverse.

Bring your designs to life through problem-solving, theoretical knowledge and practical techniques combined with creative and critical thinking. While you tackle challenges with design thinking and innovative technologies, you’ll be preparing for a career designing future solutions in the built environment.

Explore diverse aspects of computational design alongside creative and built environment students, staff and industry professionals. You’ll work to solve real-world problems, graduating with a professional portfolio and industry connections to launch your career.

The Master of International Business is a comprehensive postgraduate degree that teaches you a broad set of practical skills. International business is about how to be effective in today's globalised world, especially in multinational organisations, and this well-rounded qualification will provide a broad scope of business know-how. You'll develop the ability to think globally and strategically, setting you up to become an effective and successful leader in the global business environment.

This degree is suitable for graduates with a non-business degree seeking a postgraduate qualification in international business, as well as those with a business degree interested in studying a new area of specialisation. You will be able to design your own program to meet your professional needs. 

Surveying supports all construction activity and infrastructure engineering in urban and rural environments, as well as mapping and monitoring the natural environment. Activities include defining land boundaries, engineering and mining surveying, offshore surveys, digital mapping, precise positioning and property development.

Surveying is a perfect combination of indoors and outdoors. You'll learn how to use a range of hi-tech tools such as GPSs, laser scanners, mapping drones and surveying robots to create high definition 3D models of the built and natural environment. You'll also learn how to apply maths and powerful software to deliver products for a range of applications. To get you work ready, you'll apply these skills through 60 days of approved industry training.85

This double degree is for engineers in the fields of physical metallurgy, materials engineering, ceramic engineering or process metallurgy who want to become skilled in technical management and more aware of the economic and social aspects of the engineering profession. The Materials Science component teaches you theoretical and practical skills that will put you at the forefront of innovation in developing materials that are lighter, greener and stronger. The Commerce component provides you with a fundamental understanding of general business principles and allows you to develop specialist knowledge in a business area of your choice. With more than 10 majors to choose from ranging from accounting to human resource management you can design a business degree to suit your interests and career goals.
