Laws (Honours)
As a UniSA Law student, you’ll gain valuable skills from day one, including in reasoning, reporting, analysis, negotiation, communication and advocacy. You will also experience what it's like to argue a case and provide legal advice.

Throughout your degree you will study core courses that teach you the fundamental legal concepts that underpin the Australian legal system. Courses such as torts, contracts, criminal law and constitutional law will give you a good understanding of basic legal principles.

Our Law program also features courses that build your leadership skills, intercultural communication, project management and capacity for community engagement.

You will have the opportunity to complete your GDLP in your final year of study, in addition to practical learning experiences including mooting, negotiation, and witness examination. The Graduate Diploma in Information Technology (Cyber Security) aims to develop cyber security professionals with advanced knowledge in cyber security governance, risk and compliance (GRC). To ensure you graduate job-ready, significant consultation with industry has taken place to establish both the technical and non-technical expertise demanded by employers. In recent years, calls for cyber security professionals with a strong working-knowledge of GRC in complex organisational environments has significantly increased. As such, this program will build your professional proficiency, as well your ability to examine and implement a range of technology-based cyber security defences to address emerging threats and attacks.

What you'll learn
The Graduate Diploma in Information Technology (Cyber Security) has been designed to develop foundational, discipline specific knowledge in IT in your first semester of study. From there, you will complete courses that develop your knowledge in governance, risk management and compliance, business practices, network security and cyber criminal behaviour.

Our Master of Finance (Global Investment and Trade) will equip you with the skills to manage critical issues facing global trade, international business and finance.

This degree will provide you with an in-depth understanding of the interconnections between institutions and global financial markets, as well as the implications of changing regulation and policy.

What you'll learn

The Master of Finance (Global Investment and Trade) is made up of 16 courses including two electives and two specialisation electives. You will study core courses in business and global investment and trade and select from specialised electives such as Behavioural Finance, International Business: Strategy and Ethics, and Applied Research in Finance. One of your elective options is also a 150-hour industry placement either in Australia or overseas.

This degree will develop your knowledge of the global business environment and enable you to maximise your career development opportunities and employment prospects. You will benefit from a range of experience-based learning opportunities, including overseas study and business mentoring by a senior business leader through the Executive Partners Program.

Your studies will focus on international business strategy, international trade, global marketing, and employment law – the knowledge you will need to accelerate your career as a business professional in an international context.

The two year program comprises 16 courses, including 4 electives and an industry placement/project.  You will start with seven core courses common to all specialisations in the IMBA. Through these you will develop advanced skills and expertise in areas of international management including:

In your law studies you can undertake a Community Justice Project, practice advocacy and negotiation, or gain industry experience through participation in our Legal Advice Clinic or a professional placement.
