The Bachelor of Laws program satisfies the academic degree requirements for admission to practice as an Australian lawyer. Mobile Computing

This major covers theories and technologies used for the development of distributed applications for hand-held mobile devices. Students completing this major will understand the advanced principles related to mobile hardware devices, data storage and transmission, and communication networks. In addition they will identify, analyse, and formulate solutions to real-world problems in the mobile domain. In devising these solutions students will also consider principles associated with user interface design, professional and ethical issues, in particular those relating to security and privacy of user data and user behaviour related to mobile devices and its applications.

Students must maintain a grade point average of 5 or above to remain in the program. Those who do not maintain this average will be transferred to the Bachelor of Information Systems.

This major covers theories and technologies of big data with applications to information systems. Students completing this major will possess and apply the technical skills for managing large volumes and varieties of data in the information systems context.

This program combines tourism, event management, social science, business and marketing subjects to prepare graduates for professional roles in tourism, events, and the visitor economy. Students can choose from a suite of majors, including: environmental management, event and festival management, heritage, marketing, place management, planning, sport and sustainability.

The program has been developed with industry to ensure students develop the skills and knowledge desired by employers. Students complete fieldwork, engage with industry and government stakeholders, and are provided with opportunities for international fieldtrips and placements. This major combines subjects from the social and environmental sciences to prepare students for careers that ensure tourism, leisure and recreation activities take place in a sustainable way. The natural environment is a key component of leisure, recreation, and tourism experiences, especially in Australia. However, these activities can have significant ecological impacts. Zoology

A Zoology Major provides you with the opportunity to study Australia’s unique animals and their habitats. Zoologists have a detailed understanding of the diversity of the animal kingdom and are equipped with scientific understanding of how animals function and interact with their environment: ranging from their ecology, behaviour and evolution, to the physiology and biochemistry of cells, tissues and major organ systems.

Zoology underpins conservation and sustainability, including major contributions to current research in climate change and ecosystem management. On-campus animal facilities include those for reptiles, small marsupials and rodents, sheep and cattle, as well as over 1000ha of native, rural and aquatic habitats with an abundance of native wildlife. English

The English major invites students to explore contemporary approaches to language, literary studies and writing, including literary criticism and theory, linguistic analysis, genre and textual study, and creative writing.
