The Health Care Administration and Service Management program will provide those with health-care credentials with leadership theories and practical applications specific to the health-care environment. The curriculum is geared toward providing a wide base of professional skills in a health-care context such as finance, communication, human resources, leadership, operations, and critical thinking.

This two-year diploma program prepares students for professional practice in the field of early learning and child care. Through interactive classroom learning and integrative field placement experiences, students will develop skills that will enable them to work in collaboration with families, colleagues and communities for the purpose of designing, implementing and evaluating inclusive play-based early learning programs. Building on a thorough understanding of child development and principles of responsive practice, students will work in partnership with college-operated child development centres, kindergarten classrooms, licensed early learning and care programs and community agencies in order to integrate classroom theory and practice in meaningful and engaging ways.

The January intake offers the opportunity for accelerated completion. The program is delivered in four consecutive semesters.
Successfully completing the Human Services Foundations program prior to applying to the Early Childhood Education diploma program is an opportunity to obtain a year of personal growth and education that may contribute to success in this career-focused program.

Business is evolving. Are you uncertain about the exact career path you would like to follow? If your answer is ‘yes’, then the two-year Business diploma program is perfect for you, as it is designed to expose students to many different disciplines, ensuring diverse career opportunities. The Business program provides a broad education encompassing all functional areas of business, including business accounting, finance, marketing, sales, operations and human resources management. Today’s world is full of business opportunities; graduates of this program will have work-ready skills that will enable them to operate in multiple business departments, return to their family business or start their own business venture. They will also be able to bridge into the third year of the Business Administration – Management program, complete an 8-month post-graduate certificate, or bridge into the second year of the BBA – International Business Management degree program (subject to a 70% program average). You can start the Business program in the fall, winter or spring, at multiple campuses, and choose the delivery format that best suits your circumstances and lifestyle - full-time during the day, part-time in the evening, or online, and complete it in as little as 16 months (full-time or online).

With the current pace of construction in Ontario, there is a high demand for skilled equipment operators to support this industry. Completion of the Heavy Construction Equipment Operation program will position you for success in the industry. This program includes a significant amount of hands-on experience, safely performing basic maintenance and operating various pieces of large equipment at one of our two program locations (South Guelph or Brantford Airport). You will also be exposed to compact equipment and paving operations. This practical experience is complemented with related theory including environmental practices, soils, concrete and asphalt, surveying and site plans. By the end of the program, you will be well-prepared for success as you enter employment in the heavy construction and paving industries as an equipment operator. As a graduate of this program, you will have the opportunity to receive automatic exemption from all of the apprenticeship in-school training for the three Heavy Equipment Operator trades (Tractor-Loader-Backhoe, Excavator, Dozer) should you choose to pursue that career pathway.

Process Quality Engineering
This advanced-level graduate certificate program provides individuals with the knowledge and techniques to improve the delivery and quality of products and services. The material that is taught in this program can be applied within any area of an organization. The focus of this program is on the achievement of performance excellence through the use of modern quality improvement methods. The program develops the skills required to perform process quality roles in a broad range of organizations and sectors.The program content aligns favourably with selected American Society of Quality's (ASQ) Bodies of Knowledge. This program is non-industry specific as it provides the proficiencies demanded by organizations in today’s market place.

Financial Technology
The field of financial technology is evolving as it responds to the challenges facing the 21st century financial sector. This means that professionals employed in the field must be equipped to support diverse client groups such as individuals and company-based financial institutions. If you have a background in the computer industry, finance or other related fields, and are ready to attain in-depth competencies to help consumers and businesses track, manage, and facilitate their finances, this Ontario College Graduate Certificate program will be of interest to you. Through a variety of projects, case studies and interactive learning opportunities, and using current and relevant resources to support the latest trends in financial technology, you will develop the skills needed to help individuals and businesses secure their finances. You will study topics such as applications, emerging market trends, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship and management. This two-semester Quality Assurance Manufacturing and Management Ontario College Graduate Certificate will provide you with the knowledge and techniques to improve the delivery and quality of goods and services. This program focuses on the use of modern quality improvement methods that support the achievement of performance excellence in manufacturing and associated business processes. A combination of theoretical and practical learning opportunities will prepare you for a variety of management and quality assurance organizational opportunities.

Program Outcomes

• Implement and document quality processes that ensure conformance to international quality standards.
• Evaluate the results of experiments for process improvement and product development to form recommendations using various process improvement tools.
• Evaluate quality issues, opportunities, and performance metrics using current and relevant tools such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Root Cause Analysis.
• Lead advanced product quality planning activities in an industrial environment using accepted quality assurance techniques including Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
• Plan the implementation of quality management processes within an industrial organization using accepted philosophies.
• Select the correct device or instrument to accurately measure product parameters and conduct a Measurement System Analysis (MSA).

In this one-year certificate program, students develop the necessary technical, organizational and interpersonal skills that will enhance their role as an effective member of the office team. Students that successfully complete the Office Administration – General (1095) program are eligible to apply to level 3 of the Office Administration – Executive (1096) diploma program. Space in the Office Administration – Executive program is limited and transfer applicants are not guaranteed a seat in the program. Depending on the number of applications and the number of available seats, a ranking process may be used.

Supply Chain Management - Global
The Supply Chain Management - Global program prepares students for careers in the fields of logistics, procurement, supply chain and operations. Through extensive practical learning activities, students enhance their knowledge of supply chain concepts applicable to a variety of sectors. Graduates will be well-prepared to support the management of job functions by examining the connections between strategic objectives, stakeholder expectations, and supply chain design, functions, processes and roles; determining the value-added and financial implications of supply chain decisions and design on business profitability, efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction; using risk mitigation tools and strategies; reviewing supply chain activities and transactions for compliance with relevant policies, standards, legal, regulatory and contractual obligations; collaborating with, and using leadership and communication skills to build strategic relationships with a diversity of stakeholders. Earn project management education hours towards a variety of certifications: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Scrum Master (ASM), Risk Management Professional (RMP), or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) designations. Through a combination of hands-on activities and theory-based classes, graduates from the Motive Power Fundamentals - Automotive Repair certificate program are well-positioned to enter and be successful working in this trade area. Throughout the duration of your program, you will develop a strong foundation of technical skills needed for the automotive field.
You will develop safe working practices in the use of tools, machinery, and equipment and will apply fundamental communication, documentation, information technology, and computer skills to support a motive power-related work environment. To round out your training, you will be introduced to the basics of running a motive power business and relevant legal issues.
As a graduate of the certificate program, you will have an opportunity to receive automatic exemption from Level 1 of the Automotive Service Technician apprenticeship in-school training should you choose to pursue that career pathway.

This two-year diploma program is designed for students who wish to acquire a general education in the arts and sciences while having the flexibility to explore further educational options within the college or to pursue a degree at a local university. Students will acquire skills in communication, critical thinking and research, while exploring contemporary issues in today's global society. Students will explore a topic of interest through the construction of a research project, paper, and portfolio that culminates in a presentation to an expert audience. During this program, students will participate in a course that will enable them to discover career opportunities.

In the second semester students will consult with their program coordinator to select from a variety of post-secondary courses in disciplines of their choice. The program is constructed to allow students to explore options that meet future academic goals either through selecting courses in a major discipline or courses eligible for credit transfer at the University of Waterloo (courses are subject to availability). After successful completion of this program, students may wish to apply to programs within Conestoga College or pursue further education at other institutions.
