Our political science program introduces you to political, economic, social, and environmental issues in Canada and around the world. We offer a great mentorship program, opportunities to do research with faculty, and the ability to complete an internship in fourth year. Our active and engaged department is home to the Political Science Society, the Model UN Club, and arranges an annual trip to Europe through the EU Study Abroad course.

Specialize in microbiology, cellular development, environmental and evolutionary biology, population and ecosystem ecology, or any combination of these areas. You’ll learn research techniques in our new labs and out in the field that will prepare you for a wide range of career paths, ranging from interests at the molecular level, to whole organism (including humans) and/or the more complex community and ecosystem levels.

Begin your journey to an exciting career in mechanical engineering by developing a solid foundation in machine design, CAD, and thermofluids with applications in automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, and materials engineering. Available specializations include automotive, aerospace, environmental, and materials. Our facilities include a dedicated project courtyard where students develop their hands on capabilities. The faculty promotes connections with industry through projects, courses, and workplace co-op opportunities.

Mechanical Engineering with Environmental Option
Learn how to apply mechanical know-how to solve the sustainability challenges associated with machinery. The program combines the foundation of mechanical engineering with courses that focus on the quality of air and water, and waste management.

Want to understand the World? Chemistry prepares you for professions from the lab to law. It is a flexible program that aims to answer questions of matter, energy and how they interact in the world around us! You’ll be able to do research with our award-winning faculty, find innovative ways to apply your analytical skills and develop as a professional with industry specific hands-on experience through our co-op internship.

Forensic Science is the degree for the 21st century and UWindsor’s program is ahead of its time. We’ll train you to investigate and analyze evidence from crimes ranging from homicide to abuse, and from fraud to hacking. We have the latest technology — biometric scanners, laser scanners, computerized fingerprint scanning, security document scanners, and more. We supplement your classroom learning with mock crime scenes and labs and you’ll get training in scientific methodologies and crime scene investigation from a variety of professionals, including academics, police officers, lawyers and expert witnesses.

You’ll learn to apply the technologies and practices from computer science, project management, engineering, application domains, interface design, digital asset management and other fields to software engineering. Philosophy
Examine humanities most challenging questions in this internationally renowned program known for its courses in political thought and argumentation theory. Philosophy gives you a broad vision of the world and the ability to make intelligent decisions, laying the foundation for a variety of careers. You can study philosophy exclusively, or combine it with another discipline. Classes are small and full of opportunities to discuss today’s most pressing topics such as artificial intelligence, feminism, the environment and politics.

Industrial engineers answer the needs of organizations to operate efficiently and cost effectively. As an industrial engineer, you may use intelligent processes to streamline production systems or design flexible manufacturing approaches using a wide range of knowledge, including operations research, manufacturing sciences and enterprise resources planning/integration.

The University of Windsor is one of only few institutions in Ontario to offer industrial engineering. Your education will begin with a broad base of fundamental sciences, mathematics and engineering knowledge in courses that are common to all programs.
