Businesses in the 21st Century are wanting more data analytics and evaluation of business intelligence. This specialisation will equip you with sound business knowledge and management expertise, and the ability to work with business information systems and strategies to grow any enterprise.

In your first year of study you’ll develop knowledge in core business strategies including accounting, business communication, commercial law, business heritage, culture and sustainability, marketing, computing, management and applied research.

In the second and third years you’ll focus on business information systems and enhance your understanding of business decision making and planning processes. You’ll also complete a Cooperative Education Project where you’ll work 'hands-on' in a business environment applying your learning on a real-world info systems problem or opportunity.

Flexibility has been built into this degree, allowing you to not only to study part-time, full-time and/or in the evenings, but to choose two specialisations at no extra cost and requiring no additional time. Alternatively, you can personalise your degree by including up to five elective courses (Level 5 and above, equal to 15 credits each) from any subject area of your choosing.

This program has been designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge the industry requires to meet the increasing demand for outdoor leaders and guides and to prepare you for a varied, rewarding and adventurous career.

Learning from some of the most qualified educators and instructors in the country you'll become technically competent in a range of outdoor pursuits including sea kayaking, rock climbing, bushwalking and mountain biking. You'll gain skills in leadership, sustainability and environmental education, supervision, and instruction. You'll also learn how to plan, prepare, instruct and guide participants in a range of outdoor activities while maintaining safe, ethical and professional practice in familiar and unfamiliar outdoor environments. This will include assessing and managing emergency care situations in isolated locations.

Core skills taught include design strategies, graphics, branding and communication, typography, art direction, drawing and illustration. In addition, students will choose three courses from a range of electives, which will enable them to develop complementary skills in particular areas of interest.

As well as studio courses, students will complete a group of core courses in academic subjects. These include both professional and contextual studies, which will give them developed communication skills, a background in the history and sociology of creative practices, insights into contemporary professional ethics and some business skills.

This unique programme is designed for individuals who are seeking an in-depth professional development opportunity that will enable them to become an agent for change in sustainable practice.

It will enable you to explore sustainable practice through a focus on relationships between policy and practice, research, and multi-disciplinary project work. You'll also develop and apply advanced understandings of the theories, driving forces and worldviews (including Te Ao M?ori) that relate to sustainable practice within the context of your discipline-specific knowledge.

The programme facilitates collaboration and innovation and applies an interdisciplinary framework to address complex sustainability problems. Upon completion of the programme you will be able to: engage in rigorous intellectual analysis, criticism and problem solving; utilise research; and advocate for, and contribute to, more sustainable practices in a range of context

This Level 6 program covers a broad range of current applied knowledge and skills in systems administration. It incorporates content based predominantly on the Microsoft and Linux platforms, including server-based virtualization, directory services, network protocols and infrastructure, automated system and application deployment, and IT service management. These provide core knowledge and skills expected of someone working as an IT professional.

In our graduate diploma you will learn methods for profiling key information on the internet and consider the value of social media for internal and external communications. Other areas of study include applied computing, advanced business analysis essentials, and the latest techniques for management of information and communication technologies. We also connect you with our industry partners to put this knowledge to use in the real world on a relevant project.

During the course of this one-year program, you'll acquire the advanced preparation, cookery and presentation techniques to confidently plan and produce a wide range of complex dishes including hot and cold desserts, gateaux and torten. You'll also learn effective methods for planning and monitoring workflow and supplies, and strategies for managing staff and operations to meet performance targets.

To meet Health and Safety requirements, applicants must be physically able to undertake the practical components of the program in an industry emulated environment.

With this program, you'll study both the theory and practical aspects of interior design, and learn about light and colour, design principles, materials and finishes, lighting, soft furnishings, window treatments, ergonomic principles, New Zealand art and cultural/historical influences in interior design. You'll also learn about architectural communication, building codes, laws and regulations, personal and business presentation, and business management. In addition, you'll develop your freehand drawing and manual drafting abilities, and learn how to use software such as Computer Aided Design and Photoshop.

With this program you will have the expertise to strategically direct the future focus of your organisation with regards to Food and Beverage, and Accommodation and Facilities. You will combine your knowledge and skills gained into a practical industry project, completed within a work context further developing your skills and ability, whilst assisting an organisation to resolve a business issue.

In your first year you will develop your knowledge in core business strategies and operations, you will study accounting, business communication, commercial law, business heritage, culture and sustainability, marketing, computing, management and applied research. During the second and third years you will specialise in project management where you will focus on the many inter-related aspects of a project.
