As a graduate of this program you can apply for registration as an anaesthetic technician with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand. The Master of Health Practice in Paramedicine is ideal for health professionals who are ready for the next step in their career. This postgraduate course focuses on the future of paramedic practice worldwide.

AUT’s postgraduate paramedicine courses focus on international best practice in the out of hospital setting. Courses may be delivered in a range of formats including on-campus block courses or online. Individual courses may not be offered every year.

The Master of Health Practice is designed for health professionals with at least three years of clinical experience. You can select courses that reflect your career needs and interests.

If you become a counsellor you help people deal with their feelings, better understand themselves, make decisions and create change in their lives. The Counselling major prepares you to work with a diverse client base as a counsellor.

You become familiar with the history and theory of counselling, and the relational counselling model. AUT's counselling degree includes 200 hours of counselling practice, bicultural learning, marae visits and knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi issues. This degree is suitable for adult students and those with appropriate life experience.

AUT counselling graduates are eligible to apply for provisional membership of New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) to begin practising as a counsellor.
