The Human Resource Management degree will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of current theory and practice relating to employment relations and Human Resource Management (HRM).

Brunel’s Global Supply Chain Management MSc is a course that attracts business men and women from all over the world who want to focus specifically on a career in supply chain management or logistics, so you can be sure to find yourself in good company.

A wide range of topics is studied including development of supplier relationships, operations improvement, procurement strategies, outsourcing, inventory control, and logistics operations, as well as addressing the issues that affect these areas. The breadth of study forms a solid foundation of understanding allowing you to explain and apply theories on logistics, operations and project management, and business modelling and simulation to your practice.

This is one of the few supply chain master's courses in the UK to have received accreditation from the top supply chain and logistics bodies. On completion of the course, you can apply to become a full member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) subject to having satisfied the relevant three-year work experience requirement.

As a graduate of this master’s course, you will also meet the educational requirements for Chartered Membership of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT). At Brunel, we understand that your interest in biomedical sciences at this stage may be very broad and perhaps you're not ready to specialise. For this reason, we have made our Biomedical Sciences BSc flexible. As you continue through your degree, you can pick your own options and tailor your course to fit your interests. You can even switch over to a specialist pathway in the second year so there's no need to feel pressurised to commit to a specialist area yet.

The Royal Society of Biology has awarded its accreditation to all of Brunel’s biomedical sciences undergraduate programmes. This means you can be confident that our Biomedical Sciences BSc will prepare you for the working world – and your prospective employers will know this too. Our Water Engineering MSc degree is a specialist course that has been developed to equip you with advanced knowledge of the water industry and environmental issues.

Our MSc water engineering course is accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM). The JBM comprises the Institution of Civil Engineers, the Institution of Structural Engineers, the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation, and the Institute of Highway Engineers. These four professional bodies ensure that your engineering degree meets the academic requirement to qualify as a professional engineer. This accredited MSc degree in water engineering fully meets the educational requirement for progression to Chartered Engineer (CEng) status. Artificial intelligence (AI) and the techniques it embraces provide opportunities for this to happen and to make sense of big data.

Qualified graduates with the skills and ability in AI to take advantage of these opportunities are in great demand. Brunel’s Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) BSc, will expose you to the foundations, theory and practical aspects of computer science and AI.

You’ll gain a good understanding of computer science and a grasp of the important elements of a computer system. You’ll also learn how to build different types of software, from web-based systems to mobile solutions.

By specialising in AI you’ll develop a range of techniques which can be applied in software to solve complex problems. AI is inherent in modern games, financial trading systems and medical systems and enhances the software solutions in each of these areas.

You’ll be confident in your knowledge of the nature, diversity and limitations of software artefacts (or programs) that display apparently intelligent behaviour, understand a range of machine learning paradigms, and be able to apply them to the production of innovative and useful artefacts.

Our course is designed for flexibility, so if you’re not sure which route you want to go, you can select modules and specialise gradually during your time with us. You can transfer between Computer Science and Business Computing up to the start of Level 2, then, should you wish, to choose a specialism up to the start of Level 3.

We know that when you graduate, you’ll be working on large projects. That’s why one third of each year of our programmes is project-based. On Levels 1 and 2, you’ll build a software solution in a team, and in your final year you’ll carry out an individual project. You’ll also have the opportunity to showcase your projects at the annual Made in Brunel (Software Innovation) event, with awards presented by the likes of Cisco, Sky and Xerox.

As part of your degree course, you’ll have the chance to take a year-long work placement between your second year and third year. The accreditation also allows you to apply for professional membership of the BCS after you have successfully completed your degree.
