The International Business MSc is designed for those seeking to operate within an international business setting or within companies and jobs where an understanding of international business is an asset. Brunel's Building Services Engineering MSc gives graduates with engineering or technology backgrounds the technical, design and management skills they need to excel in this lucrative and multi-faceted profession.

You'll get a solid grounding in core subjects of heat transfer, energy conversion, acoustics, electrical services and lighting design as well as in the practicalities of building management, fire and smoke control, waste disposal and lifts and escalators.

Theatre and English BA will help you to become a critical and creative communicator equipped for a variety of creative roles as you discover the richness of theatre making and literature side by side, developing as a creative along the way.

The theatrical side of your course will teach you specialist skills in a range of performance genres like physical, musical and digital theatre.

A blended approach to learning means you’ll have a mix of practical classes in acting, writing and ensemble production, together with more theoretically focussed content, with plenty of opportunities for collaboration.

This dynamic biomedical sciences degree is perfect for those with a fascination of how we work and how we treat human diseases.

At Brunel, we understand that your interest in biomedical sciences at this stage may be very broad and perhaps you're not ready to specialise. For this reason, we have made our Biomedical Sciences BSc flexible. As you continue through your degree, you can pick your own options and tailor your course to fit your interests. You can even switch over to a specialist pathway in the second year so there's no need to feel pressurised to commit to a specialist area yet.

The Royal Society of Biology has awarded its accreditation to all of Brunel’s biomedical sciences undergraduate programmes. The human body is a complex machine, but what happens when movement becomes a challenge? This course trains the next generation of physiotherapists to use scientific knowledge and patient-assessment in helping to improve the physical well-being of their patients or optimising sports professionals’ physical performance.

Brunel’s Physiotherapy course is designed to be hands-on and practical. Our Mary Seacole Building is purpose-built for Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy. The rooms reflect the type of clinical environments that you will work in when you graduate and you’ll learn your practical skills here as you’ll have the opportunity to practice on patients visiting the university and on your fellow students. This means that you’ll be confident and experienced in time for your first placement.

At Brunel we understand the value of making the most of your 1,000 hours of clinical experience. By starting placements in year two, you’ll be able to fully immerse yourself and practice the skills you have learned in year one. Your placements will all be practical learning experiences, not just observational.

You’ll study modules covering a vast range of specialist areas within physiotherapy. You’ll learn the skills necessary to analyse patient symptoms and develop treatment plans. You’ll also learn to assess the effectiveness of your treatments. This is a skill which is vital to working as a physiotherapist.

A deeper understanding of the commercial power of MNEs is key to understanding how and why companies expand in an increasingly competitive market.

We’ll explore the impact of internationalisation on factors such as human resource management (HRM), entrepreneurship, and emerging markets. There will also be the opportunity to study modules on marketing, environmental sustainability, and global investment.

As well as the focus on international business, this degree will equip you with the broad business and management background and the analytical and interpersonal skills required to understand, analyse and address issues faced by today's companies. You’ll broaden your knowledge of business concepts as you work on real business issues and live case studies to develop your managerial skills.

Valuable technical skills will be developed in numerical methods, quantitative methods, and by using statistical software such as SPSS and EXCEL. This part of the course does not require A level maths or the overseas equivalent.

The Brunel International Human Rights Law LLM is designed for graduates wishing to develop the specialist skills needed for a career in this dynamic field of law.

Through a detailed analysis of the theory, history and development of human rights, and an exploration of the mechanisms of human rights protection you will acquire a comprehensive understanding of international human rights law and its interconnection with international criminal and comparative criminal law.

The course places particular emphasis on the radical transformations in international human rights law since the beginning of the 21st century, with the establishment of the International Criminal Court, the on-going process of the United Nations reform, and the post 9/11 shift to a more ‘security-at-all-costs’ approach to criminal process values, especially with regards to the war against terror.
