This innovative new programme will give you a rigorous understanding of international relations and politics, and of conflict and security issues - globally and regionally across the world.

While placing international developments within historical context, it focusses particularly on recent and contemporary processes, trends and problems: examining efforts to respond to international and regional challenges in the spheres of policy and practice.

The programme combines in-depth academic training in key concepts, theories and case-studies, alongside a structured process of engagement with contemporary debates and experience by policy-makers, diplomats and practitioners. You will have opportunities to learn beyond the classroom through political simulation exercises, field trips and specialist workshops creating new bridges between academic and practical dimensions of the field.

This programme is delivered by the Division of Peace Studies and International Development, an internationally recognised centre for excellence in teaching, research, and policy engagement on International Relations, Peace, Conflict and Security issues.

With a particular emphasis on the creative side of games design, you’ll be taught the core theories that underpin the discipline and use these to guide your practical work and, in turn, gain the vocational experience needed to start a career in this fast-growing industry.

As a University of Bradford chemistry student, you will have choice and flexibility in your degree. This programme is designed with inputs from leading industry professionals and strikes a balance between the mechanics of analytical methods and the dynamic finance-related decision-making process. We aim to develop our students as finance professionals of the future who, equipped with analytics skills, have the appropriate attributes to reduce risks through making smarter, timely and more accurate financial decisions.

Students will gain technical data science skills and non-technical management skills along with a deep understanding of the application of analytics within the context of financial management. 

Optometry is a healthcare profession concerned with examination, diagnosis and treatment of the human visual system.

In our ageing population the demand for eye care is expected to increase, and optometrists are ideally placed to help meet this demand.

The programme is based on both fundamental academic sciences as well as detailed clinical and practical studies. The emphasis is very much on the optometric service to patients.

You will see patients in the University's own eye clinic, and attend local hospitals where you are instructed in the recognition and management of eye disease by senior ophthalmologists.

Our three-year programme enables you to progress towards practising as a registered optometrist - you will need to complete a year's pre-registration training after graduation in order to do this.

The programme will develop your understanding of the causes and dynamics of social conflict, with a strong focus on case-study analysis. It will allow you to develop informed judgements about when and how to engage constructively with conflict, recognising the strengths and limitations of different approaches to intervention. And you will consider critical questions surrounding and problematising efforts to build peace in different contexts, and in the light of contemporary trends, including converging environmental, economic and political developments.

Through a diverse programme of study, including a significant applied, practical element, you will develop and demonstrate knowledge and recognised competencies essential to effective, ethically-aware practice within conflict engagement and peace practice - locally, nationally or internationally.

This new MA in Archaeology and Identity at the University of Bradford combines theoretical archaeological interpretation with cutting-edge scientific archaeology.

Drawing on the skeletal collections and world-leading expertise at the School of Archaeological and Forensic Sciences, the MA explores social interpretation of remains.

Learners will have opportunities to explore a range of archaeological periods and regions, as well as focusing on evidence from mortuary archaeology. Modules will also enable the study of artefacts, exploring biographies of objects along with material properties.

The programme will equip you to critically-engage with a diverse range of material, as well as explore the sociopolicitical contexts of interpretations of the past and the role of the past in the present.
