• Computerised Shima Seiki knitting machines across three gauges, a variety of single and doublebed Dubied knitting machines, linkers and manual knitting machines 
• A state-of-the-art jacquard loom, a variety of computerised AVL dobby looms, and manual table looms 
• The WSA library, with comprehensive collections of textiles books, journals and magazines as well as a wide range of other arts-related materials

Whether you’re interested in textiles for fashion, interiors, or products, our BA Textile Design course will nurture your creative, practical and professional skills. Learn to create contemporary textiles using our first-class digital and traditional knit, print and weave facilities. You’ll explore different aspects of textile design in your first year, then choose to specialise in woven, knitted or printed textiles for the rest of your degree. • graphic design - with a focus on creating consistent visual communications across different media; from print and editorial design, typography, branding and advertising through to user experience (UX) design and emerging media

• motion design - moving image for video and animation, and visual communication across multi-screen and interactive environments
• photography - exploring commercial, editorial and fine art approaches
