On this course, you will explore the radical and revolutionary artistic power of theatre and entertainment, linking this to today’s global challenges. You will think creatively and embrace new opinions, and you will develop your experience by completing professional skills certificates as part of your course.

Warwick's vibrant student drama scene also gives you opportunities to get involved with many different kinds of products through our theatre student societies, with projects at Warwick Arts Centre (a core partner of the Theatre and Performance Studies Department), the National Student Drama Festival, and the Edinburgh Festival.

You can enhance your skills and studies through optional work placements, study abroad, and certificates.

In your first two years, you will concentrate on Physics modules, with the addition of a second-year Business module.

For your final year, you will transfer completely to WBS (Warwick Business School), where you will develop a critical understanding of how organizations work, how they are managed, and how they interact with local, national and international environments. You may, for example, take modules covering markets, marketing and strategy, finance, and entrepreneurship.

There is flexibility to switch into or out of the Physics and Business Studies stream onto one of our other courses at any time within your first two years.

Study abroad

We support student mobility through study abroad programs. BSc students have the opportunity to apply for an intercalated year abroad at one of our partner universities

Providing comprehensive training in essential elements of modern communication and information engineering, this degree delivers information-theoretic underpinnings alongside physical-layer aspects of optical and radio transmission. You will also explore developments in radio network architectures and deployment and have opportunities to study communications technologies, data analytics and data mining, in terms of algorithms and goals in real-world problems.

When you graduate, you will be well equipped for employment opportunities in modern information and communication engineering, which is currently undergoing a revolution.

This course will enable you to pursue your interest in the history, archaeology and art of the ancient world. It looks at the societies and cultures of the ancient Mediterranean through their written texts, visual art and material remains, from grand temples, monuments and villas to the humble residues of everyday life.

You will benefit from many hands-on learning experiences, including handling authentic ancient coins, recreating the experience of a Greek symposium using replica vases, visiting historical sites and museums in the UK, and taking part in our annual classical play, which is staged at a professional theatre for a public audience of over a thousand people.

You will have the opportunity to study topics such as Greek democracy, the Roman cultural revolution under Augustus, visual representations of Greek myth, or the Roman Near East, in modules specifically focused on Greco-Roman history, art, archaeology and architecture.

Core first-year modules provide a grounding in approaches to Greek and Roman History and Material Culture; optional modules allow you to explore a range of other topics, including the option to learn an ancient language or take an external module.

Our MSc Business with Operations Management has been designed as a practice-focused course for those early in their career. Build upon the core disciplines of business to learn how to design, run, and manage effective operations across service, manufacturing, public, and private sectors.

Operations management can make or break an organisation, which is why you will cover a range of crucial elements, from project management to supply chain management, ensuring you gain a forward-thinking and career-driven learning experience that will help you to make a significant difference in the world of business.

There is a choice of Dissertation or Business in Practice route. If you are considering further academic study (PhD) and you would like the opportunity to research a topic relating to operations management, the dissertation enables you to test and apply the techniques and theories you have gained.

If you would like to develop further applied skills and specialist knowledge to suit your career aspirations, you can complete your studies with one additional elective module and our applied Business in Practice module.

The MSc in Economics and Health Economics is for graduates in Economics who would like to advance their knowledge and specialise in Health Economics through a postgraduate-level degree. Students will gain a thorough grounding in advanced core areas of microeconomics and econometrics, and will have the opportunity to understand how economic theory and methods can be employed to offer solutions to issues and debates around health and health care provision. An 8,000-word dissertation provides an opportunity to explore your own interests across these fields of study.

This joint degree gives you an in-depth knowledge of French language and culture while developing your ability as an analyst of international economic phenomena. 50% of your degree will be in Economics and 50% in the School of Modern Languages.

The French side of your degree will extend your understanding of the language, literature, culture, society and politics of France and the Francophone world.

In Economics, you will study the choices of consumers, corporations, governments, networks and nations.

You will also develop a deep knowledge of global and local economic trends, institutions and policies. You will normally spend your second or third year abroad, consolidating and enhancing your learning.

Study abroad

We strongly recommend that you take a year abroad as part of your modern languages degree, if you are able to. If you are unable to take a year abroad you may move to a three-year degree. In such cases, you will be required to complete further language reinforcement work. You will also be encouraged to spend time abroad in other ways, during vacation times.

You will usually spend your year abroad doing one of three things:

• Working as a language assistant teaching English in a primary or secondary school
• Studying full-time at a partner university in your chosen country
• On a work placement

You will also undertake a bespoke research project, gaining research experience using our state-of-the-art facilities in an interdisciplinary environment. The MSc Finance will help you to develop a deep theoretical and conceptual knowledge of finance and quantitative skills, preparing you for a range of careers in the financial industry.

Choosing our BEng or MEng Engineering degree is an ideal route into Engineering if you wish to sample all our disciplines and want a sustained broad learning experience.

Delivered jointly by the School of Engineering and WMG (Warwick Manufacturing Group), you will be taught by experts across the fields of automotive, biomedical, civil, electrical, electronic, manufacturing, mechanical and systems engineering.

The Warwick course will allow you to develop sought-after skills including a multidisciplinary approach to problem solving, the ability to manage projects and communicate ideas, and the capacity to lead, research, design, innovate and develop products and systems.

By choosing the MEng degree you can explore specialist areas of Engineering through fourth-year core and optional module choices and a group project.

Study abroad

You may choose to take an intercalated year in industry, research or study abroad between years two and three (BEng and MEng), or between years three and four (MEng only). If you choose to take an intercalated year, this will be reflected in your degree title, and add a year to your degree programme.

As an MEng student you may choose to take your third year as an exchange year at a partner university abroad, subject to academic requirements and approval of study programme.
