The MA in Sound Design provides students with focused studio training in sound design, digital audio workstations, and industry standard practices in creating sonic worlds for visual media. Emphasis is placed on creative sound design techniques, and editorial practices in layering sounds in synchronization with visual media.

The School of Motion Pictures & Television’s MFA program offers in-depth, advanced training in the various areas of film and television production. Depending on the area of specialization, the MFA program culminates in a thesis film or professional reel/portfolio. Areas of study include directing, producing, cinematography, editing, production design, and screenwriting. Students are prepared to compete for work in the industry or to teach, as the MFA is a terminal degree.

The School of Animation & Visual Effects BFA program provides students with the skills necessary to master today’s digital technology.

Storyboarding
The BFA storyboarding emphasis teaches students how to translate an idea or script into a series of cinematic sequences for use in guiding the production of a motion pictures, streaming media or games.

Academy of Art University’s BFA Acting program is a comprehensive and diverse curriculum that provides a strong foundation in performance fundamentals, including acting technique, acting for camera, improvisation, singing, and speech. The Masters of Fine Art in Fashion Merchandising and Management program provides the in-depth knowledge and specialized skill set required for today’s fashion merchandising and management environment. Graduates will be capable of performing the major functions necessary to run a successful operation including planning, managing, and selling fashion products.

The School of Fashion offers ten BFA degree programs, each designed to prepare you for work in the fashion industry. The Fashion Marketing and Brand Management MFA program develops expertise in creating, marketing and managing global fashion brands by providing insights on global consumers, developed and emerging markets, and business trends in fashion industry. Students will learn creative and analytical methods of marketing and brand development, and management tools to develop innovative fashion marketing and brand strategies through in-depth research and analysis in macro and micro perspectives.

The School of Visual Development's BFA program provides a dynamic education in the art of scene setting. Core curriculum emphasizes photography, figure modeling, form analysis, figure drawing, narrative principles, visual development for animation, character design, concept paintings, advanced exploration of perspective for video game design, and various other critical design disciplines.
