Trained economists are employed by private businesses, banks, law firms, consulting firms, international corporations and agencies, public utilities, federal and local governments, and colleges and universities. Economists who work in the private sector spend much of their time using the tools of economics to analyze issues that are important to their employers. For instance, these economists might be called upon to forecast the demand for the company's product, to perform cost-benefit or optimal pricing analyses for potential projects, or to analyze the effects of government regulations on the company.

The construction engineering and management bachelor of science offers the rigors of engineering problem-solving and design with business and management courses, coupled with construction engineering and management courses. Students receive an innovative interdisciplinary education that combines coursework in engineering, construction, business and architecture.

The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science (CS) degree is designed to create transformational relationships among computer science and other fields of their interest across the university. The Department of Film & Television offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Film and Television. This BFA emphasis provides intensive and practical training that requires successful completion of numerous film/TV projects, varying in styles from fiction to documentary. The emphasis is designed so that students will progress through the semesters as a cohort group. Undergraduates will not only work on their own projects but also will assist on numerous group projects. Students will graduate with both a theoretical and historical perspective, as well as a hands-on experience in film and television production.

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) and the Colorado School of Public Health (CSPH) together created the undergraduate Public Health program. Public health professionals work to protect the environment, identify sources of illness in population groups, control disease outbreaks, evaluate the economic ramifications of changing demographics, develop interventions to promote healthy behavior and produce health policy legislation.

The information systems program at the University of Colorado Denver is a nationally accredited program for students who want to design and implement effective solutions to meet organizational and management needs for information, control and decision making.

An information systems (ISMG) major draws on a diverse set of skills and strengths requiring creative and innovative thinking at the intersections of disciplinary knowledge and practice. The Geography program offers a distinctive curriculum that focuses on the study of human-environmental interaction and is premised upon a model of scientific education that integrates the natural/physical and social sciences. The program takes a place-based approach to this topic, seeking to understand in a holistic manner how cultural, political, economic, natural, and physical processes combine and interact to shape and re-shape landscapes, cities, regions, and nations through time.

Courses include case studies, classroom instruction, and guest lectures featuring successful entrepreneurs and renowned business owners.

The Bachelor of Science degree program in psychology focuses mostly on the biological and biochemical basis of behavior and mental function. This degree program prepares you for employment and graduate study in many areas of psychology and related fields, including neuroscience and biomedical research.
