Urban studies is the analysis of cities, the people who live in them, how they function and how they are governed. Peace and Justice Studies is the academic program that embodies Manhattan College’s Lasallian commitment to advancing social justice. Manhattan College has one of the oldest peace and justice studies programs in the United States. The first Peace and Justice Studies course was offered in 1966, and the Peace and Justice Studies major was established in 1971.
