The curriculum for the first year is common to all branches of engineering and focuses on broad mathematics and engineering science principles. Peace and Justice Studies is the academic program that embodies Manhattan College’s Lasallian commitment to advancing social justice. Manhattan College has one of the oldest peace and justice studies programs in the United States. The first Peace and Justice Studies course was offered in 1966, and the Peace and Justice Studies major was established in 1971.
