The Bachelor of Science degree in computer science is designed around identified core knowledge areas of computer science. The program includes theoretical and practical hands-on approaches preparing students to enter the IT workforce or continue their education in a professional graduate degree program.

The mission of the Webster University graduate professional counseling degree program is to provide high-quality learning experiences to students, helping them become expert professional counselors who strive for individual excellence and contribute to an enhanced quality of life in local, national and global societies. Curriculum is culturally inclusive, training students with a strong base of knowledge and skills to practice effectively in a variety of careers in the field of mental health and human service, educational institutions, private practice, and government, business and industrial settings. It is designed to provide students with the necessary knowledge, practice and skills for working with individuals, couples, children, families and groups in a variety of mental health settings.

Emphasis in Clinical Mental Health Counseling
This degree emphasis requires satisfactory completion of 60 credit hours of coursework. Some states require completion of all core courses prior to Internship. Note that successful completion of the program may exceed 60 credit hours for some students.

The Clinical Mental Health Counseling emphasis, available at the home campus in St. Louis, Missouri and the South Carolina campuses in Charleston, Myrtle Beach and Columbia, is accredited by The Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).

This curriculum is designed for individuals who are seeking a graduate degree with a broad general management and leadership perspective. The MA in management and leadership is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

Graduates of the management and leadership program will be able to:

The management program examines the relationship between an organization, its leaders and employees. This program is designed to help students develop the competencies as both a business professional and scholar-practitioner with the capabilities to drive growth an innovation. In this program, students will acquire skills necessary to effectively manage people, analyze management problems, develop sound business practice and communicate effectively.

Emphasis in Sports and Entertainment Management
The emphasis in sports and entertainment management is designed to provide students, with the knowledge, skills and tools necessary to succeed in the business side of sports and entertainment, in addition to the skills provided in the management core curriculum. The administration of academic and professional sports and athletic franchises is a large and growing business both in the United States and around the world. Sometimes overlooked but also important, is the large and growing business of using professional sports venues to regularly host live entertainment events (concerts, ice events, children's shows). Recognizing the importance of both sports and entertainment, this program is designed to be an all inclusion approach so graduates of the program have what is necessary to be successful in both of these areas of business.

The Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in chemistry is designed to offer students a thorough grounding in the important areas of modern chemistry. Students are instructed in the theories and applications of organic, inorganic, analytical, physical and biochemistry. The program includes significant laboratory work, allowing students to become proficient in the skills necessary to succeed in a chemical career. Students earning the BS degree will be qualified to work in industrial, government and academic laboratories. In addition, some students, upon earning the BS pursue admission to graduate school, medical or dental school, health-related careers or other careers that might be enhanced by possession of a chemistry degree.

The graduate program offers a master of science in biomedical sciences degree through which students can pursue multiple career opportunities (medical, dental, veterinary, pharmacology, etc). The program, built on graduate core requirements, is designed with consideration of the individual career goals of the student in health science and research programs.

Education at the graduate level is an expansion of the knowledge attained from undergraduate studies. Graduate education at Webster University encourages the development of theoretical knowledge and critical thinking skills. The international relations curriculum enables students to analyze the legal, historical, socioeconomic, and political factors that are key elements in this field of study. Webster students also examine the dynamics, structural characteristics, and humanitarian issues of the global community. The undergraduate international relations major at Webster is designed to help students develop the skills they need to understand and take part in an interconnected world: political awareness, economic understanding, cultural competency, and global citizenship.

Sociology is, at its core, the study of human behavior in social settings. With a focus on positive social change, Webster sociology students develop the analytical skills necessary for critically evaluating the diversity of human belief systems. Sociology graduates pursue a variety of post-graduate opportunities from law school or governmental professions to sociological research, business, or academic careers.

Sociology students enjoy diverse coursework and many opportunities to supplement their studies. The curriculum emphasizes inequality and social organizations. We emphasize emerging trends in the field, including informatics, environmental sociology, and social network analysis. Students may supplement their studies with coursework in human rights, criminology, women, gender and sexuality studies, and cultural anthropology. Webster sociology alumni have gone on to successful careers in diverse fields including bank manager, park ranger, teacher and political scientist.
