The goal of the human resources management degree is to prepare human resource professionals to address the complexities and challenges of managing today's workforce. The program content is designed to provide a comprehensive coverage of the major human resource functions, addressing strategic decisions and operational execution of HR service delivery. The courses involve both practical and theoretical considerations in the development of HR professionals in settings such as business, industry, government and nonprofit organizations and institutions, both nationally and globally.

The BA in interactive digital media is a versatile and career-focused production-based degree program that gives students the creative problem solving skills to build a variety of interactive experiences and push web-based enterprises to the next level. Students apply user-centered design principles, professional media production techniques and web-based programming languages to develop websites, apps, interactive exhibits and casual games.

Sociology is, at its core, the study of human behavior in social settings. With a focus on positive social change, Webster sociology students develop the analytical skills necessary for critically evaluating the diversity of human belief systems. Sociology graduates pursue a variety of post-graduate opportunities from law school or governmental professions to sociological research, business, or academic careers.

Sociology students enjoy diverse coursework and many opportunities to supplement their studies. The curriculum emphasizes inequality and social organizations. We emphasize emerging trends in the field, including informatics, environmental sociology, and social network analysis. The management program examines the relationship between an organization, its leaders and employees. This program is designed to help students develop the competencies as both a business professional and scholar-practitioner with the capabilities to drive growth an innovation. In this program, students will acquire skills necessary to effectively manage people, analyze management problems, develop sound business practice and communicate effectively.

Emphasis in Sports and Entertainment Management
The emphasis in sports and entertainment management is designed to provide students, with the knowledge, skills and tools necessary to succeed in the business side of sports and entertainment, in addition to the skills provided in the management core curriculum. The administration of academic and professional sports and athletic franchises is a large and growing business both in the United States and around the world. Sometimes overlooked but also important, is the large and growing business of using professional sports venues to regularly host live entertainment events (concerts, ice events, children's shows). Recognizing the importance of both sports and entertainment, this program is designed to be an all inclusion approach so graduates of the program have what is necessary to be successful in both of these areas of business.

The master of science in criminal justice provides students with a multidisciplinary approach to the wider criminal justice system, with particular emphasis on enhancing technical skills, critical thinking skills, decision-making processes, and increasing analytic capabilities to provide students with the ability to explain, predict, and prevent crime and victimization.

Students develop an understanding of film history and aesthetics, as well as critical approaches to the study of film. Film studies courses move from general survey to specific, in-depth studies of a genre, filmmaker or theory.
