• The dental AA pathway degree is for students who wish to pursue a Bachelor's degree toward a career in dentistry.

This pathway is for students who want to pursue a four-year degree in Accountancy, which includes careers in business, industry, government, and other organizations.

Please note only 60 of these credits are needed for AA degree completion. For each pathway, IDS 2891 is a degree requirement, and for most of the pathways, SLS 1106 is required for first-time-in-college students.  CGS 2100 may be able to be tested out for no credit. The Psychology AA pathway is for students who plan to pursue a bachelor's degree in psychology at a college or university. This degree provides the lower division psychology major courses required at many universities while exposing students to the core principles and practices of the psychology field.

This degree enables students to develop a strong foundation in research methods, statistics and biological aspects of behavior, and will offer a variety of elective courses to help students develop their knowledge of human behavior, critical thinking, communication and problem-solving skills. Many university programs require the completion of specific courses prior to acceptance. It is the student's responsibility to contact the institution to ensure transferability.

The mass communications AA pathway degree is perfect for students seeking a Bachelor's degree in mass communications, journalism, advertising, public relations, education or telecommunications. Careers may include writing for various media, broadcasting, corporate communications, serving as governmental agency spokesperson, copywriting and other roles in advertising and public relations, video and audiovisual production and sales, or political lobbying.

The HCC Statistics Associate in Arts degree pathway is for students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree in statistics or a related field at a four-year university. This pathway is for students who want to pursue a four-year college/university degree in such fields as history, humanities, education, pre-law, political science, museum studies, journalism, library science, archeology/classics or international studies programs. This pathway is broadly designed to allow students to cater the major to their own interests, however, students are encouraged to meet with a full-time history faculty member to discuss their program interests in their first semester at HCC.

The veterinary AA pathway degree is for students who wish to pursue a Bachelor's degree toward a career working with animals.

The Veterinary Technology AS degree delivers a hands-on training program that is fully accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and can be completed in two years or five consecutive terms. Career opportunities include veterinary technician positions in private practices, humane societies, specialty veterinary medicine, zoo/wildlife medicine, agriculture, and biomedical research.

The HCC veterinary technology program has an articulation agreement with St Petersburg College (SPC) in which graduates from the HCC program can continue on for a BS in Veterinary Technology with SPCs on-line program.
