Associate of Arts in Geology Pathway

This pathway is for students who want to pursue a four-year degree in computer and information technology security.  Cybersecurity degrees lead to positions as a systems administrator, intelligence analyst, network engineer, information security manager, network security engineer, or information systems analyst.

The pharmacy AA pathway degree is for students who want to pursue Bachelor's degrees in pharmacy. Pharmacists dispense medications prescribed by physicians as well as educate physicians and the public about proper drug usage. This pathway provides the courses and guiding principles to increase your chances for admission to pharmacy school.

Please note only 60 of these credits are needed for AA degree completion. For each pathway, IDS 2891 is a degree requirement, and for most of the pathways, SLS 1106 is required for first-time-in-college students. CGS 2100 may be able to be tested out for no credit. Careers include creating graphics for newspapers, television, web pages, magazines or any media format. The visual arts department cultivates an educated student body that recognizes the power that images hold, in both historical and contemporary contexts.

Technical careers may include planning and developing new computer systems, computer programming, software development, systems analyst and technical writing.

The criminology and criminal justice studies AS degree prepares you to work in corrections, juvenile justice, investigations, private security, homeland security or crime scene investigations. Graduates may transfer to a university to seek Bachelor’s degrees. Graduates of a law enforcement academy may receive college credit hours toward this degree. A variety of tracks are available depending on your career goals.

Career specializations may include fingerprint training, private security and investigations, victim advocacy, and crime analysis.

The office administration: office management technology AS degree prepares you for mid-management office positions such as administrative office manager, office manager, equipment sales representative, administrative support manager, staff assistant, executive secretary, human resource technician, office manager, or executive assistant.

The Communication AA pathway degree is for students who want to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. The Communication pathway is designed for students with an interest in group dynamics, health communication, persuasion, performance, leadership, gender issues, interpersonal and intercultural communication. This degree prepares students for a variety of careers in event planning, public relations, media, sales, management, marketing, human resources and hospitality.
