This pathway is for students who want to pursue a four-year degree in the supply chain industry, which functions to facilitate the flow of goods, services, and finances among business on a global scale. Careers include positions in manufacturing, distribution, transportation, and retail.

Please note only 60 of these credits are needed for AA degree completion. For each pathway, IDS 2891 is a degree requirement, and for most of the pathways, SLS 1106 is required for first-time-in-college students. CGS 2100 may be able to be tested out for no credit. The demand for quality childcare providers continues to rise, resulting in numerous opportunities for well-trained early childhood professionals. In Hillsborough Community College’s Early Childhood Education Program, you will develop the skills you need to create safe, healthy and nurturing learning environments that meet the emotional, social, intellectual and physical needs of children in care.

The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment as early childhood professionals, preschool teachers, child development center managers, and to provide supplementary training for persons previously or currently employed in these occupations.

HCC’s early childhood programs (AS.EDU, AS.PRE) are designed to prepare students for the Florida Staff Credential.  The academic requirements for professional certification in other states vary. HCC has not yet determined the status of this credential in all states.

This pathway is for students who want to pursue a four-year college/university degree in such fields as history, humanities, education, pre-law, political science, museum studies, journalism, library science, archeology/classics or international studies programs. This pathway is broadly designed to allow students to cater the major to their own interests, however, students are encouraged to meet with a full-time history faculty member to discuss their program interests in their first semester at HCC.

This degree can lead to careers in personal fitness, coaching and athletic training, or to advanced professional degrees in sports nutrition, physical therapy and other related professions.

The HCC Mathematics Associate in Arts degree pathway is for students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree at a university in mathematics or a related field. The goal of the mathematics associates degree is to enhance students’ competence in the dynamic disciplines of mathematics and statistics, and includes coursework in college algebra, trigonometry and calculus I, II & III.

Courses offered by the mathematics department promote the ability to reason quantitatively in a variety of ways. Many university programs require the completion of specific courses prior to acceptance. It is the student's responsibility to contact the institution to ensure transferability.

The engineering AA pathway is for students who wish to pursue Bachelor's degrees in electrical, mechanical, civil, computer science, aerospace, nuclear, agricultural, industrial, and environmental engineering. Options in surveying and mapping, and materials design and testing are also available.

Careers include positions in the areas of design, testing, research, architecture, electronics, robotics, manufacturing, sales, construction management, and technical writing. If you plan to earn a Bachelor's degree in education with the goal of becoming a teacher, the education teacher preparation AA pathway degree is designed for you. You must have a standard high school diploma or a GED to qualify for this program.
