The Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University established the LL.M. Program in Family Law in response to contemporary family law practice's increased demand for specialization and need for an interdisciplinary focus for resolving family issues. The only program of its kind in the eastern United States, and one of only three programs in the country, Hofstra Law's LL.M. Program in Family Law furthers Hofstra Law's commitment to developing skilled and compassionate family lawyers who have a thorough grounding in the issues central to the field - divorce, family violence, child custody, abuse, neglect, and support - as well as knowledge in related areas such as tax, contracts, real estate and partnership law, child psychology and treatment options.

Sports Science

The mission of the Master of Science in Sports Science is to prepare scholarly and innovative leaders in sports, physical activity and recreation. Attention is focused on research and theoretical development. Individuals are provided with the means and understandings necessary to effectively lead physical activity programs in school and non-school settings.

Fine Arts

This degree is for students who may be interested in a double major in areas such as education, marketing, computer science, or film. Students have the option of a general fine arts degree, or a specialization in design, painting, or sculpture-industrial design.

Electrical Engineering
In the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering program, students can work toward a career in electrical engineering or opt for a computer engineering focus. You will first build a foundation in universal engineering theories, mathematics, and the physical sciences before moving on to more specialized courses.

Computer Engineering Option
Students pursuing this option will take courses in the Department of Computer Science such as:

Philosophy
The BS in Philosophy degree is focused on philosophical areas that are relevant to another professional, technical or scientific discipline. This degree differs from the BA program primarily because it requires students to complete more requirements in a discipline outside philosophy, either through a double major or a minor.

The Master of Arts (MA) in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Hofstra University prepares you for career advancement across a number of fields dealing with workplace productivity and behaviors, including human resources, training, management, consulting, coaching, and organization development. Research design, statistics, and psychology provide the foundation for advanced study in selection training, performance appraisal, worker motivation, and organization development. At Hofstra you will also gain valuable hands-on experience through internships at business and public agencies. Full-time students finish in as little as two years.

Mechanical Engineering
With a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, you’ll learn to apply principles of engineering, physics, mathematics, and materials science toward a general career in mechanical engineering or concentrate on aerospace engineering. The program is ABET-accredited.

The BS in Psychology is more appropriate if you are planning post-graduate studies in medicine or other health-related professions. It provides a solid background in basic biomedical sciences as well as in behavioral and cognitive sciences.

A major in psychology may be applied to a variety of career paths, including advertising, business, drama, education, journalism, law, and technology, as well as advanced graduate work in psychology, health professions, law, education, business, and many other fields.

Video/Television

The BS in Video/Television gives you a more technical, specialized approach to television and video production. Courses include advanced television technologies, multi-camera production, a media production practicum, as well as a science and computer science requirement.
