Philosophy
The BS in Philosophy degree is focused on philosophical areas that are relevant to another professional, technical or scientific discipline. This degree differs from the BA program primarily because it requires students to complete more requirements in a discipline outside philosophy, either through a double major or a minor.

Labor Studies
Around the world, from the factory to the office to the internet, today's workplace is changing rapidly. These changes are dramatically affecting not only the ways that we work, but also the basic relationships among workers, between workers and labor unions, and between labor and management. Labor studies offers students a broad background in the multiple perspectives on – and different analytical approaches to – job and pay issues in an international context.

This degree offers a broad-based program, with fewer major hours and more liberal arts elective hours.

Music History and Literature Concentration
Courses in historical musical topics, with emphasis on bibliography and research techniques, provide a foundation for graduate study leading to careers in musicology, musical criticism, and music librarianship.

Build advanced expertise in assessment and research, program planning, evaluation, and policy development and get experience doing fieldwork with community organizations addressing pressing public health issues at the local, regional, and national level. Complete the Master of Public Health (MPH) full-time in as little as 13 months. We also offer an Advanced Certificate in Foundations in Public Health. Business Operations and Healthcare Analytics
The Master of Science in Business Operations and Healthcare Analytics will provide students with the tools, insight, and experience in data analytics and guide them to apply their skills and experiences within the context of healthcare operations.  The students in this program will learn data collection and analysis to optimize efficiency through transforming healthcare operations, monitoring costs of care, and maximizing patient outcomes.

This concentration provides a solid foundation for a career in the art of music. The program of study focuses on a core of substantial training and experience in the chosen performance medium.

Do you see yourself developing the next big app or mobile game, or designing software that helps solve real-world challenges? Study the computer technology and systems that touch virtually all aspects of modern society, from business and health care to banking, government, and communication. 

Lay a strong foundation in programming and application development, algorithms, computer architecture, operating systems, and software engineering, and choose from three tracks of study: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Cybersecurity.

International Business
Do global enterprises, cultural nuances, and collaboration with clients and colleagues from around the world fascinate you? Hofstra's International Business program integrates the social, cultural, political, legal, ethical, technological, geographic, environmental, and economic factors that play a role when conducting business abroad.

This is a more intensive program, with more required coursework in fine arts and art history than the BA degree. In addition, students must select a specialization from one of the following areas:
