Students in the Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media Studies program pursue one of three concentrations:

The BA program is appropriate for students whose interests in urban ecology are more focused on the social and political aspects of the field and less on the science. Mathematical Economics
Economics is woven into the fabric of our society. It is the engine that drives and shapes public policy, determining how individuals and families live and work, how business and industry operate – in short, how the world works. If you’re curious about people and human behavior, have an interest in history and political science, and enjoy the structure and reasoning of mathematical-style analysis, you’d do well majoring in economics.

The Master of Arts (MA) in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Hofstra University prepares you for career advancement across a number of fields dealing with workplace productivity and behaviors, including human resources, training, management, consulting, coaching, and organization development. Research design, statistics, and psychology provide the foundation for advanced study in selection training, performance appraisal, worker motivation, and organization development. At Hofstra you will also gain valuable hands-on experience through internships at business and public agencies. Full-time students finish in as little as two years.
