Forensic Science
Forensic science is the application of science to investigations pertaining to the legal system. Forensic scientists apply principles and techniques of various sciences to the examination and comparison of biological evidence, trace evidence, impression evidence, drugs, and firearms.

The profession requires critical thinking, communication skills, the application of natural and physical sciences to legal issues, and ethical responsibility. This program provides students with a strong foundation in physical and natural sciences and acquaints them with various relevant aspects of the legal system.

The BS in Video, Television, and Business combines an in-depth overview of television production and industry standards with coursework in legal issues, contracts, marketing, and management. The major concentration enables students to establish a strong base of specialized knowledge in one of the areas of study represented in the Zarb School of Business. This degree provides students with a broad understanding of the traditional and modern civilizations of East Asia and Southeast Asia. As an Asian Studies major, you will choose a core of four courses, concentrating on either traditional or contemporary Asia, and also take a seminar.

Students in the Asian Studies program learn about the traditional and modern societies of Asia through teaching, research, and service. They graduate equipped to enter a variety of career paths.

The program fosters understanding of the cultural, social, and political relationships amongst the various countries in Asia, North America, and Europe. Through additional outreach activities, students also learn about the connections between Asia, the growing Asian American communities in the New York metropolitan area, and the University.

Fine Arts

This degree is for students who may be interested in a double major in areas such as education, marketing, computer science, or film. Students have the option of a general fine arts degree, or a specialization in design, painting, or sculpture-industrial design.

Dance
Prepare for a career as a performer, choreographer, teacher, or arts administrator in a wide variety of professional settings. Become part of a close-knit and supportive dance community with regular advisement by both dance and academic advisors.

Community Health
Community Health majors learn about the biological, social, and behavioral factors affecting public health, and examine the ethical and legal issues in modern-day health care. You’ll study drug and alcohol abuse, the sexual health life cycle, and chronic and communicable diseases, and learn how to assess individual and community health needs so you can plan, implement, and evaluate community health programs.

The BS program is for students interested in careers that take an engineering, technological or scientific approach to sustainability. Students in this program are required to take at least 23 credits of science and math.

Physics

The BS in Mathematics is appropriate for students planning graduate studies in mathematics or professional pursuits in the field of mathematics. The BS requires the completion of one of seven tracks: mathematics, actuarial science, applied mathematics, chemistry, physics, engineering, or computer science.
