Mechanical Engineering
With a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, you’ll learn to apply principles of engineering, physics, mathematics, and materials science toward a general career in mechanical engineering or concentrate on aerospace engineering. The program is ABET-accredited.

The BS in Mathematical Finance is designed for students who are interested in finance and have the ability to dive deeply into mathematics. The program also provides an alternative for mathematics majors who find that they prefer a business-related program rather than a program in abstract mathematics.

Computer Science and Cybersecurity

The new BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE AND CYBERSECURITY program is designed to produce graduates who are fully qualified as computer software and hardware developers, while at the same time, able to serve as information security officers, penetration testers, and network administrators. The program provides a solid foundation of computer science, emphasizing specifically the expertise in computing systems. Bioengineering

Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering students concentrate in one of three areas: Biomechanics, Bioelectricity, or Pre-Med. You'll first build a foundation in universal engineering theories, mathematics, and the physical and life sciences, before moving on to courses in your area of interest:

The BS in Applied Physics allows students to combine the BS in Physics with a concentration in biochemistry, computer science, or engineering. The curriculum includes electives in humanities and social science to give the student a general background to supplement training as a specialist.

Environmental Resources
The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Resources is the application of geology and the natural sciences to issues of environmental sustainability, natural resource management, resource development, and conservation. This degree prepares students for careers in environmental geology, environmental science, resource management, environmental law, and environmental regulation.

Join the next generation of innovative leaders in health with the Public Health graduate programs at Hofstra University. Build advanced expertise in assessment and research, program planning, evaluation, and policy development and get experience doing fieldwork with community organizations addressing pressing public health issues at the local, regional, and national level. Complete the Master of Public Health (MPH) full-time in as little as 13 months. We also offer an Advanced Certificate in Foundations in Public Health. The Bachelor of Science is appropriate for students planning graduate studies in biology and professional pursuits in the fields of biology, medicine or higher education. The BS has an options requirement – areas of specialized learning. Choose from Cell and Molecular Biology; Ecology and Evolution; Marine Biology; Pre-Medical, Pre-Dental and Pre-Veterinary Studies; and Secondary Education.
