Students in the BS in Mathematical Business Economics use quantitative analytics to address specific needs in the corporate world, grooming themselves for careers as economists, actuaries, investment managers, financial planners, marketing managers, and more.

In a world brought ever closer by technology, trade, and transportation, fluency in a foreign language will make a tremendous difference in your earning power, how high you can climb the corporate ladder, and your ability to expand your professional and personal networks.

The study of languages will help you understand the world better, become more culturally sensitive, and train you to adjust to new environments quickly. Learning languages will improve your writing and train you to look at things from many points of view.

Theory/Composition Concentration
This concentration prepares student musicians for advanced study leading to careers in music theory, composition, or other allied areas of music.

This degree provides students with a broad understanding of the traditional and modern civilizations of East Asia and Southeast Asia. As an Asian Studies major, you will choose a core of four courses, concentrating on either traditional or contemporary Asia, and also take a seminar.

Why Asian Studies?
Students in the Asian Studies program learn about the traditional and modern societies of Asia through teaching, research, and service. They graduate equipped to enter a variety of career paths.

The program fosters understanding of the cultural, social, and political relationships amongst the various countries in Asia, North America, and Europe. Through additional outreach activities, students also learn about the connections between Asia, the growing Asian American communities in the New York metropolitan area, and the University.

If you are interested in the political process, policy, and public service, the major in public policy and public service combines all of those areas in one degree. You will develop a deep understanding of modern policy challenges, as well as the leadership skills to meet them.
