Business Operations and Healthcare Analytics
The Master of Science in Business Operations and Healthcare Analytics will provide students with the tools, insight, and experience in data analytics and guide them to apply their skills and experiences within the context of healthcare operations.  The students in this program will learn data collection and analysis to optimize efficiency through transforming healthcare operations, monitoring costs of care, and maximizing patient outcomes.

Classical Civilizations

The concentration in Classical Civilizations focuses on the literatures of antiquity (taught in translation), along with additional emphases in the ancient languages, and in related areas of study within classics – for example, ancient history, philosophy, art history, and the religious traditions of Greece and Rome and early Christianity.

Help solve the biggest challenges of our time, from social injustices to climate change, when you enroll in the MA in Sustainability program at Hofstra University. This program takes a balanced approach in trying to understand how to make developed countries more sustainable while also addressing the sustainability crisis in the developing world. With a focus on entrepreneurship, community development and sustainability management, the program teaches students to be part of the emerging green economy. History
The Department of History offers a wide variety of courses on the United States, Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East, from ancient and medieval times to the 21st century. Students acquire skills in critical analysis and communication crucial for professional success, as well as the knowledge they need as citizens. History majors pursue successful careers in many fields including business, education, law, and politics.

A major in history is a powerful tool in understanding global affairs, politics and social change, and economic developments. Students acquire skills in critical analysis and communication that are crucial for professional success, as well as the knowledge they need as citizens.

Students pursuing a BA will take courses in Global Studies and also in related disciplines, such as Geography, Political Science, International Business, Journalism, Economics, Public Policy, Philosophy, Criminology, Sociology, and History.

Fine Arts

This degree is for students who may be interested in a double major in areas such as education, marketing, computer science, or film. Students have the option of a general fine arts degree, or a specialization in design, painting, or sculpture-industrial design.

The Master of Arts in Creative Arts Therapy Counseling program is a 60-credit degree and has been approved by the American Art Therapy Association since 1984.  Graduates of the art therapy program are eligible for licensure in NYS as a Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) and to sit for the Art Therapy Credentials Board Examination (ATCBE).

Our small, intimate class sizes and diverse student body, as well as the didactic and clinical aspects of the program prepare our students for successful careers in art therapy.  The program features new and refined courses in the areas of ethics, diversity, aging and development, career counseling, and experiential learning.
