Networking and Cybersecurity

The concentration in Networking and Cybersecurity is aimed at educating students in the growing field of cybersecurity.  Security of data and computer systems is one of the most important topics in today's online world. Any application or system must have ways to prevent and protect from cyber attacks, to allow secure access and protection of data stored in distributed locations accessible online. Courses in this concentration offer a hands-on approach to learning networking, security and systems programming. All courses include a significant experiential component.

You will be exposed to a wide variety of ideas about how corporate, regional, national, and international economies grow and change over time. And you will gain insights into how sound economic policies influence and inform nearly every aspect of society.

Television Production and Studies

The BA in Television Production and Studies focuses on the creative side of the television industry, from scriptwriting and editing to directing and producing. Choose from courses in television aesthetics and criticism, shows and showrunners, sitcom production, sports reporting and production, digital editing, lighting, and single- and multi-camera production.

Entrepreneurship majors learn how to think creatively and collaboratively, and develop the skills to launch a new enterprise, including crafting a business model that incorporates financing, marketing, human resources management, and other disciplines.

Fine Arts

This degree is for students who may be interested in a double major in areas such as education, marketing, computer science, or film. Students have the option of a general fine arts degree, or a specialization in design, painting, or sculpture-industrial design.

Bioengineering

Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering students concentrate in one of three areas: Biomechanics, Bioelectricity, or Pre-Med. You'll first build a foundation in universal engineering theories, mathematics, and the physical and life sciences, before moving on to courses in your area of interest:

Hofstra University's Department of Accounting, Taxation and Legal Studies in Business offers a Master of Science (MS) in Accounting. The MS program prepares business students for licensure in New York State.

This degree is for students who may be interested in a double major in areas such as education, marketing, computer science, or film. Students have the option of a general fine arts degree, or a specialization in design, painting, or sculpture-industrial design.

Health Science

The field of health science gives you a deep understanding of the evolving challenges of modern health care, and provides a strong foundation for advanced  degrees in careers such as medicine, dentistry, veterinary sciences, physical therapy, and physician assistant studies.

Video/Television

The BS in Video/Television gives you a more technical, specialized approach to television and video production. Courses include advanced television technologies, multi-camera production, a media production practicum, as well as a science and computer science requirement.
