Accounting
This program qualifies students for general accounting careers in business, but does not satisfy in full the educational requirements for licensure as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in New York state

The BS in Applied Physics allows students to combine the BS in Physics with a concentration in biochemistry, computer science, or engineering. The curriculum includes electives in humanities and social science to give the student a general background to supplement training as a specialist.

Computer science

The BS in Mathematics is appropriate for students planning graduate studies in mathematics or professional pursuits in the field of mathematics. The BS requires the completion of one of seven tracks: mathematics, actuarial science, applied mathematics, chemistry, physics, engineering, or computer science.

An INTO Hofstra Graduate Pathway program in Health Informatics will prepare you to enter your next semester of a master’s degree program at Hofstra University. Upon successful completion of the Pathway program and meeting university requirements for graduate admission, you may enter your next semester of graduate study at Hofstra University. This transition from an INTO Hofstra program to a university degree program is called progression.

Health Informatics
Hofstra's master in Health Informatics is designed to address the foundational concepts of information technology systems in healthcare. Graduates of the healthcare informatics program will be familiar with current health information systems and technologies and will be prepared to analyze, design and manage evolving health information systems for a wide variety of clinical, administrative and research purposes.

Components of the program include:

• Advanced training to prepare students to lead IT-based innovation and transform healthcare delivery, management, and planning.
• Small class sizes.
• Applied experience culminating in a six-credit practicum where students are assigned to rotations at affiliated health information system departments within various health systems such as Northwell Health to obtain hands-on training, experience, and exposure in all disciplines of healthcare informatics.

Web and Mobile Engineering

The concentration in Web and Mobile Engineering is aimed at educating students in the field of Web and mobile computer applications. This is a continually growing and changing field. Almost all computer applications must provide access on the Web and/or mobile devices. Courses in this concentration offer a hands-on approach to learning Web and mobile programming.

The BACHELOR of SCIENCE in COMPUTER ENGINEERING program is concerned with the design of hardware and software for computing devices and systems. Computer Engineering students take a rigorous set of courses in hardware and software related topics. Graduates with a degree in computer engineering typically secure jobs that involve the design of embedded systems, mobile devices, automotive sensing and control systems and biomedical devices to name a few. They are also capable of working in software roles such as software engineering and web and mobile development.

Networking and Cybersecurity

The concentration in Networking and Cybersecurity is aimed at educating students in the growing field of cybersecurity.  Security of data and computer systems is one of the most important topics in today's online world. Any application or system must have ways to prevent and protect from cyber attacks, to allow secure access and protection of data stored in distributed locations accessible online. Courses in this concentration offer a hands-on approach to learning networking, security and systems programming. All courses include a significant experiential component.

Mathematics - Actuarial Science

Hofstra's Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with an actuarial science option, or BS in Mathematical Finance can be the ideal starting point for those mathematics majors interested in applying their skills to a career in business and industry. You can also pursue a general mathematics degree, or a more specialized program that focuses on Mathematics with Science Applications.

The Bachelor of Arts is designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of biology and a strong liberal arts foundation. It is ideal for students planning to pursue graduate studies in another area, such as business, K-12 education, engineering or law.

Students may major in biology or urban ecology, and specializations are available in pre-health, cell/molecular biology, as well as marine and freshwater biology, ecology, secondary education and conservation biology, among others.

If you like figuring out how to make the best use of time, human effort, production processes, and financial and physical resources, you may be an industrial engineer at heart. The field lets you combine engineering and the social sciences to create systems that improve efficiency -- whether in an emergency room, a manufacturing floor, or a baseball lineup.

In the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering program, you'll first build a foundation in universal engineering theories, mathematics, and the physical sciences and also take courses in accounting, management, computer science, and the social sciences.
