Chemistry
An undergraduate degree in Chemistry opens a gateway to many professions or further studies in graduate school or professional schools, like medical school.  A Chemistry degree provides a solid foundation for many professions including teaching, forensics, biotechnology, medicine, materials science and nanotechnology, chemical processing, electronics, agricultural and food science, oceanography, and environmental science.  At OSU, we provide a very flexible curriculum that can be tuned to your interests.  Check out the options we have for you!

Electrical and Computer Engineering
The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Oregon State University provides a comprehensive, state-of-the-art education that prepares our students to be successful in engineering practice, advanced studies and research.

The master's degree provides advanced instruction beyond the undergraduate degree. It prepares students for careers in which a higher level of experience is required. The Master of Engineering is a course work-only degree with no required thesis or project report.

The PhD degree prepares students for work in government or industry research laboratories or careers at universities. Students are encouraged to develop programs of study in close cooperation with the faculty members in their areas of interest.

Graduate work is supported by the school’s well-equipped laboratory facilities. Opportunities exist for graduate students to participate in many research projects sponsored by private industry and government agencies.

Crop Science and Soil Science
Want to get your hands dirty while making a difference? Our students work on solving the most complex agricultural and natural resource problems faced in Oregon, our nation and across the globe. Students who want to make a measurable difference in our communities are perfect candidates for a degree in either crop science or soil science. Graduates of our program, in demand across the United States, typically have several job offers by the time that they graduate.

Marketing
The marketing curriculum provides students with technical marketing skills and leadership training. Opportunities exist for marketing graduates in a wide variety of organizations, including manufacturing firms, service firms, retailers, wholesalers, advertising agencies, the communications media and government agencies. Career options include sales, advertising, retailing, brand management, logistics management, market research, purchasing management and more.

The Department of Civil and Construction Engineering offers three graduate degree programs, Master of Engineering (MEng), Master of Science in Civil Engineering (M.S.), and  Doctorate in Civil Engineering (Ph.D.). Students can focus their work in different areas of civil engineering and make use of specialized facilities to complete their work.

Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies is the multidisciplinary study of gender and women's lives and experiences. Course work explores women's realities in such areas as the political and social sciences, health, psychology, history, literature, and the arts. Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies programs grew out of the women's movement, involving understandings of discrimination in society and a need to celebrate different women's strengths, contributions, and forms of resistance.

Our program focuses on women of color feminisms, transnational feminisms, and queer feminist studies, offering MA students critical foundations in both theory and practice. We offer our students both the intellectual and applied skills to serve as activist scholars and global citizens, prepared to engage matters of social justice within public, private, and academic spheres.

Spanish
Spanish is the world's No. 2 language in terms of native speakers and has more than 500 million total speakers worldwide. Adding a B.A. in Spanish from Oregon State to your résumé will strengthen your career potential. Business Administration
The business administration degree provides students with a broad overview of business; basic skills in accounting and quantitative methods; an understanding of the legal and social environment of business; a background in management and organizational behavior, marketing, finance, and operations management; an understanding of the entrepreneurial process; and the opportunity to integrate course work and further develop decision-making skills through the analysis of business cases.

Natural Resources
Oregon State University's natural resources undergraduate degree program will provide you technical skills and scientific knowledge that spans various natural resources and social science disciplines. As a natural resources major, you will study the science and management of resources such as fish and wildlife, forests, range and water, as well as the development of sustainable environmental policies and human dimensions of natural resources. You will learn to solve complex environmental problems through an interdisciplinary approach. This degree program prepares you for careers in resource planning, management, conservation, restoration and education within the field of natural resources.

Horticulture
We offer a degree program leading to a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture, with a choice to specialize in one of seven options: Ecological Management of Turf, Landscape, and Urban Horticulture, General Horticulture (Online), Horticultural Research, Plant Breeding and Genetics, Sustainable Horticultural Production, Therapeutic Horticulture, Viticulture and Enology  As an undergraduate, you’ll get firsthand experience with Oregon horticulture. Many courses include field trips to farms, orchards, vineyards, golf courses, landscape management firms, and contemporary and historic landscapes. We have our own OSU facilities for increasing your knowledge and skills – Oak Creek Center for Urban Horticulture, Lewis-Brown Research Farm, and state-of-the art greenhouses.
