International Year One in Engineering will prepare you to enter your next term of a bachelor’s degree program at Oregon State University. Nuclear Engineering
Nuclear engineering focuses on enabling the peaceful use of the atom to provide electricity, process heat and make products that utilize radiation and radioactive materials.  Within the School of Nuclear Science and Engineering (NSE) there are numerous opportunities for students to gain practical knowledge and experience in many areas of the field. The undergraduate or bachelor's program is broken into two sections: pre-engineering (two years) and pro-engineering (two years). At Oregon State you can experience nuclear engineering like nowhere else in the world, as our large-scale test facilities, renowned faculty, and excellent student-to-faculty ratio make the NSE a unique and rewarding experience.

Geography and geospatial science provide approaches and tools to address pressing issues affecting communities, nations and the planet. At OSU students combine geography — the study of human and Earth system processes in space and time — and geospatial science — the collection, analysis, and presentation of spatial data — to analyze and interpret change in the environment and human society. The program has three areas of excellence: geospatial analysis and modeling, dynamic Earth processes, and global change risk and resilience. Graduates work in government, industry, and non-governmental organizations, addressing climate change, environmental hazards, natural resources, and their human dimensions. Picture yourself in an M.S. or Ph.D. program in Geography working with some of the most creative and renowned faculty in the country.

At OSU Music, you'll find an exciting and creative community that challenges students to develop the skills to become successful musicians and professional educators. Our talented faculty are dedicated to high artistry and committed to excellence. Students test their skills and display their talents in a friendly and supportive environment. Entering students should have background in performance and be able to read music. Rudimentary keyboard skills and some knowledge of basic theory are useful. Upon completing the music program, you will earn either a B.A. or a B.S. in music.

The BM in Music Studies is designed for entering students preparing for careers in music education and performance. The curriculum provides a comprehensive and complete music education preparing students for successful careers in the arts in the 21st century creative economy.

Psychology
The School of Psychological Science offers students a variety of educational avenues that provide the necessary tools for competency in, and appreciation for, psychology as a scientific discipline.

In addition to classes whose contents span the many sub disciplines of psychology, the School of Psychological Science at Oregon State values the intellectual contributions of its students and offers a number of opportunities for research experience.

An INTO OSU Graduate Pathway program in Applied Economics will prepare you to enter your next term of a master’s degree program at Oregon State University. Applied Economics
The program is designed and staffed by OSU’s distinguished graduate faculty of Applied Economics, drawn from the Departments of Applied Economics; Forest Ecosystems and Society; Forest Engineering, Resources, and Management; the School of Social and Behavioral Health Sciences; and the Economics Program in the School of Public Policy.

Environmental Economics and Policy
With a degree in Environmental Economics and Policy you will be an expert at identifying the role that humans play in environmental quality, as well as in developing the solutions. Our approach is to combine data with rigorous theory.  With this degree, you will have a set of skills in theory, quantitative methods, and communication that are highly sought by employers in government, non-profits, and private industry.  Or, an Environmental Economics and Policy degree provides an excellent foundation on which to apply graduate school.  In short, this degree (offered both on campus and online) is a springboard to a variety of rewarding careers!

Management
The management curriculum helps prepare students for careers as managers and supervisors in goods-producing and service enterprises. Students obtain a solid grounding in management of systems, personnel and quality. The integrative focus of the program also provides excellent preparation for graduate-level studies in law, urban and regional planning, public services administration, and health care administration. Management is the process of planning, organizing, leading and controlling all that encompasses human, material and financial resources in an organizational environment. A management degree means that you have learned the concepts of getting things done through others within organizations.

This program is geared toward filling an important and growing niche: the need for anthropologists with advanced training in applied research. Our graduates go on to careers in academia or employment in a large variety of other areas, including government agencies (recent examples include the Bureau of Land Management and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration); the non-profit sector (examples include global organizations such as Oxfam, and regional organizations such as the Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission); tribal groups around the country, and the private sector.
