Interior Design
Interior Design considers the design of the immediate physical environment. Interior designers plan the inside places of homes, public buildings and commercial establishments. They analyze clients' needs and requirements, lay out space, prepare working drawings and specify interior materials and finishes. They also work to develop appropriate heating and lighting plans, prepare budgets and construction drawings and supervise the installation of the design project.

Chemical Engineering
Chemical engineering is the study and modeling of systems where heat and fluid flow are coupled with chemical reactions. Examples of systems are the human body, ground water, the atmosphere, the ocean, and chemical reactors. Natural systems are measured and modeled in order to understand present and future behavior. Man-made systems are specifically designed to convert raw materials into more useful products.

Making useful products requires using mathematics and science to plan, develop, design, operate, and improve processes. Some processes are micro-scale, as in computer chip manufacturing, and some are large-scale, as in petroleum refining. Typical products from these processes include computer chips, solar cells, batteries, pharmaceuticals, plastics, synthetic fibers, composite materials, pulp and paper, and consumer products ranging from detergents to cosmetics. Chemical engineers find employment in large high-tech companies, environmental consulting firms, large commodity companies and small software companies. Employment prospects for graduates in Oregon and the Pacific Northwest are strong.

French
French is spoken by over 220 million persons worldwide, throughout Africa and Europe, as well as in the Americas and Asia, and, according to the Organisation Internationale de la Franchophonie, it is expected to reach between 700 million and l billion speakers by 2050. The sixth most widely spoken language in the world, it is the second most widely learned foreign language, one of six working languages of the United Nations, and one of three procedural languages of the European Union, alongside English and German. As a public health professional, you’ll work behind the scenes to prevent disease and protect and promote health. In addition, you’ll address health across the lifespan, health disparities and health equity. Digital Communication Arts
The Digital Communication Arts degree focuses on the storytelling capacity of media and prepares students to be successful navigators of ever-changing technology. Students in this major will learn alternative writing approaches, nonlinear storytelling, multiple formats, and how mediated storytelling affects the story itself. They investigate how our culture will change as people shift from multiple streams of communication to information flow on a single device, and how the structures of traditional media will adapt. Courses focus on several dimensions of media adoption and adaptation including access and inclusivity, personalization and privacy, science and business. New media requires continuous research and development. Practitioners will need to be prepared to be life-long learners.
