The bachelor of science in energy systems engineering combines engineering fundamentals with energy-focused technical courses and business management classes. Courses in energy consumption, distribution, storage, conversion, policy, and business management help prepare students for rewarding technical careers in the broad energy field.

The management curriculum helps prepare students for careers as managers and supervisors in goods-producing and service enterprises. Ethnic Studies
Ethnic Studies majors and minors take comparative core courses on "race" and ethnicity and select one major area of concentration from the following: African American Studies, Asian Pacific American Studies, Chicana/o Latina/o Studies, Native American Studies. In addition, majors must complete a nine-credit graded internship working with an entity that provides service to one or more of the ethnic communities named above. The minor internship, which is optional, consists of three credits.

Zoology
Zoology is an interdisciplinary biological sciences degree that focuses on all aspects of the biology of animals – from genes to ecosystems. In particular, the zoology coursework covers major areas of the life sciences including genetics, physiology, ecology, evolution and conservation biology. Environmental Sciences
The Environmental Sciences Graduate Program provides curricula leading to M.A. M.S., Professional Science Master's (PSM) and Ph.D. degrees in environmental science. The curricula integrates thinking across disciplines, especially life, physical, and social sciences. Environmental science explores natural processes on earth and their alteration by human activity.
