African American studies describe the systematic investigation into the vast range of racial, ethnic, cultural and political perspectives, experiences and beliefs of people of African heritage around the globe, with particular focus on the African Diaspora in the United States. Art History
Through Saint Louis University’s undergraduate program in art history, students learn the essential skills of critical analysis, research and communication via the examination of the social context in which art was historically — and continues to be — created. Yet Russia remains a leading player on the world stage, since it covers about one-eighth of the world's surface with lands that are rich in oil and natural resources. Bordering more than a dozen nations in Europe and Asia (many of which were once part of its empire), it has a strong military force with nuclear capabilities, but students who visit the nation find that its residents share the same economic, environmental and security issues that face the rest of the globe.

Criminology and Criminal Justice
Criminology and criminal justice (CCJ) are fields of study that incorporate an interdisciplinary perspective to examine the causes and correlates of criminal behavior as well as the institutions that respond to such behavior. A degree in criminology and criminal justice provides a comprehensive academic foundation into the nature of criminal offending, victimization, law enforcement, court administration, the law, and both community and institutional corrections.

Analytics
Offered through Saint Louis University's School for Professional Studies, the Master of Science in Analytics curriculum will teach you to design and implement analytics projects to solve complex organizational problems through statistical and analytical techniques for analyzing datasets of various sizes. Through your coursework, you'll gain skills in project management, decision making, and learn how to communicate the intricacies of complex data more effectively. 

In addition to the Master of Arts in Educational Leadership, a master's degree with a concentration in Catholic education is offered. The Catholic education concentration is designed to prepare students for school-level leadership positions, most commonly principalship in Catholic elementary, middle and high schools, as well as teacher leadership. Coursework engages students with the unique aspects of Catholic educational leadership, including spiritual leadership and the vocation of a Catholic school leader and non-public school administration such as funding mechanisms and applicable laws, while preparing students to take the Missouri assessments for principal certi?cation.

The degree requires a completion of 32 credits of coursework and culmination examinations. The Catholic education concentration requires completion of 33 credits of coursework. An additional three-credit internship is required for Catholic education students wishing to pursue Missouri Principal Certification.

Theological Studies
Saint Louis University's Department of Theological Studies trains students in a variety of sources and methods to help them evaluate and appreciate the most vital aspects of religious experience and thought. The department enters into this investigation from an academic perspective with the aim of helping students clarify their own understanding.
