The Finance major focuses on the evolving demands of the global financial environment. You'll be introduced to the latest educational technology, including Compustat, CRSP, StockTrak, Bloomberg, and Morningstar. Our trading room provides a simulated environment where you can analyze the latest stock quotes and compare currency exchange rates, just as professional traders do.

And you’ll learn from faculty who have real-world business experience at companies such as Ford Motor Company, Rho-Theta Associates, and Delta Partners LLC. Your professors offer a first-hand global perspective, having lived, worked, and studied in countries like Tunisia, China, Uganda, and Iran. Suffolk University's Politics, Philosophy & Economics (PPE) program is the first of its kind in the Boston area. An interdisciplinary major that draws from three academic departments, PPE will give you a foundation in policy, ethics, and economics. Concentration in Actuarial Science
You’ll learn the theory and practical skills of mathematics, statistics, finance, and economics to pursue a variety of careers. Suffolk’s comprehensive MSBA program uniquely balances business analytics and data management by teaching you business approaches to analytics and exactly how to manage and create projections with stored data sets. Theatre
Suffolk's Theatre Department is student-centered. We'll help you shine, whether you choose to act; write, direct, and design your own original plays; master stage or arts management; intern with leading theatre companies in Boston and abroad; and so much more. Our students work in classic, musical, and experimental genres with a special focus on new work.

The radiation science major emphasizes laboratory and research training rather than clinical training, making it ideal preparation for medical research careers and graduate study. By integrating the study of biology, radiation, physics, chemistry, and mathematics, our well-rounded program prepares you for a career in healthcare or any of the sciences. Majors in the program have the opportunity to complete an internship at a regional healthcare facility, including the possibility of interning at a top medical center, even though clinical training isn't a requirement of this program.

With this major, you’ll examine environmental issues from an interdisciplinary scientific perspective. You’ll explore how humans affect nature in order to find solutions to the world’s environmental problems. You’ll build on foundation courses in environmental science with coursework in biology, chemistry, physics, and math. You’ll also study the social, cultural, and political aspects of the environment through courses in ethics and environmental policy. You’ll take your science courses in our brand-new building that features state-of-the-art labs and research facilities.

This major allows you the option to complete a practicum—a hands-on learning experience that lets you apply your knowledge to solving real-world environmental challenges. Environmental science majors have completed their practicum at the Environmental Protection Agency, Massachusetts Department of Public Health, and Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management.

Corporate Accounting and Finance
The Corporate Accounting & Finance major combines finance principles with accounting practices to prepare you for a career in corporate finance. This major provides students with a strong background in financial accounting in addition to financial analysis and decision making that is required for positions such as CFO or financial manager.

Students will develop an understanding of capital structure, financial planning and analysis, and project valuation which will help them determine where and how to invest corporate funds.
