BS Childhood Education
Teachers of grades 1–6 arguably have the greatest responsibility: to provide students with a solid foundation that encourages a life of learning. With the bachelor’s of science in childhood education, you can choose from one of the following concentrations: biology, English, history, mathematics, or Spanish (NYC Campus only). This program leads to a bachelor’s degree and the New York State Initial Teaching Certificate in Childhood Education.

BA American Studies
The BA in American Studies is an interdisciplinary and individualized degree in the social and cultural analysis of the United States and its borderlands. Through coursework and independent projects, you will learn to exercise the freedom to develop your own areas of expertise and pursue answers to your own questions about American ideals and contradictions.

BA English Language and Literature
Whether your interest lies in journalism, creative writing, literature, linguistics, publishing, teaching, or law, the BA in English Language and Literature at Pace University offers three concentrations and several combined degree options to develop your specific interests. You will choose from three concentrations in creative writing, literature, or linguistics, which also allows for the ability to double major in related fields. A bachelor of arts in women’s and gender studies gives you the critical thinking skills and experiences to identify oppressive systems and to create forms of social justice. BS Chemistry

• Through prudent selection of elective courses, in consultation with faculty advisors, chemistry majors may choose a specialization in a pre-professional course of study, such as pre-med.

• You can expect to conduct work on on-going research projects including biochemical studies of parasitic diseases with a view to developing new antimicrobial agents to combat disease by opportunistic infections of AIDS patients, sexually transmitted diseases and East African sleeping sickness.
