BS Early Childhood Education
From birth to second grade, early life experiences have a lasting impact on later success. Our bachelor’s of science in early childhood education was created to support the development of all young children, including those who are culturally, linguistically, and ability diverse, with a focus on using developmentally effective approaches to build a meaningful curriculum for our youngest learners. BA American Studies
The BA in American Studies is an interdisciplinary and individualized degree in the social and cultural analysis of the United States and its borderlands. Through coursework and independent projects, you will learn to exercise the freedom to develop your own areas of expertise and pursue answers to your own questions about American ideals and contradictions.

This self-directed, “do-it-yourself” major equips students with strong analytical and rhetorical skills, the ability to integrate knowledge about diverse fields and subjects, and the capacity for civic and community engagement that signifies leadership in a variety of professional fields not limited to: politics and government, economics, social work, education, journalism, business, psychology and counseling, law, digital and print media, non-profit work, theater, the arts, and activism.

Art History BA offers courses in the major periods of Western Art History, as well as Latin American Art History, African Art History, and Asian Art History. BS Chemistry
Through our BS in Chemistry, you will be carried far beyond textbook learning to get hands-on experience with modern laboratory instrumentation. With certification by the American Chemical Society, this program provides a unique opportunity to integrate classroom theory with laboratory experience.

• You can expect to conduct work on on-going research projects including biochemical studies of parasitic diseases with a view to developing new antimicrobial agents to combat disease by opportunistic infections of AIDS patients, sexually transmitted diseases and East African sleeping sickness.
