MBA Accounting: CPA Preparation

Our program will lead you to a bachelor’s degree and the New York State Initial Teaching Certificate in Adolescent Education. You’ll have the option to teach one of the following subject areas: biology, chemistry, English, history, mathematics, or Spanish (NYC Campus only). BA Film and Screen Studies

The BA in Film and Screen Studies offers a unique combination of critical studies in film and hands-on film and video production that provides students with professional creative experiences and a well-rounded liberal arts education. As a student, you’ll develop a strong foundation in film history, film analysis, and film theory, as well as hands-on exposure to the technological aspects of film production and cinematic storytelling techniques and traditions through the use of professional 16mm film and HD video camera packages, lighting, and studio equipment.

BS Childhood Education
Teachers of grades 1–6 arguably have the greatest responsibility: to provide students with a solid foundation that encourages a life of learning. With the bachelor’s of science in childhood education, you can choose from one of the following concentrations: biology, English, history, mathematics, or Spanish (NYC Campus only). Our Master of Public Administration (MPA) program is designed to train you to acquire strong analytical and administrative skills, and gain the management expertise you will need to succeed in the most rewarding and demanding areas of the national economy: government, healthcare, and nonprofit administration. The program’s mission is to prepare our students to become value-driven public service leaders, managers, and analysts by offering you the knowledge of roles, values, skills, and practices that will help you become competent global professionals capable of ethical, innovative, and creative leadership in public service, government, health care, and nonprofit organizations. The interdisciplinary curriculum enables you to occupy public service management and analyst positions across sectoral boundaries, as the program takes into account career and industry sector flexibility.

Nonprofit Management
The Nonprofit Management track is geared toward public managers in the nonprofit sector with previous management experience or with advanced professional degrees. Students pursuing this MPA track can focus on three areas: managerial skills enhancement (for those in or preparing for a career as a manager or administrator of a non-profit organization); leadership development (designed for those interested in planning for and implementing social change); and social entrepreneurship (ideal for those in the private sector who have a particular interest in the social impact of for-profit business activities). Our Nonprofit Management track graduates are employed with varied sized-organizations in the areas of education, parks and recreation, community services, healthcare, immigration, etc.

Our BA in English fosters the development of strong communications skills and can serve as a solid foundation for graduate professional study. This program will also prepare you for exciting and challenging careers in many fields: communications, publishing, public relations, education, human resources, and industry, as well as government and the not-for-profit sector.
