Philosophy majors at Marist grapple with some of the most fundamental questions concerning the nature of reality, the scope of human knowledge, and the essence of right and wrong. You’ll learn to think in conceptually novel ways and construct critical and logically rigorous arguments. As a Philosophy major at Marist, you will develop important skills, and philosophy complements other pursuits such as the law, psychology, cognitive science, and computer science.

Marist’s Biology program, offering degrees in Biomedical Sciences and Biology, with concentrations in Human Biology or the Biological Sciences, is designed to help you take your passion and turn it into a successful, meaningful future. The B.S. in Digital Media is designed to allow students the opportunity to explore, in depth, the new exciting field of Digital Media under the guidance of recognized working artists, designers, and educators. It combines courses in digital media with a balanced curriculum of art studio, art history, and liberal arts.

Today's accounting majors are expected not only to provide auditing, accounting, and tax services for small and large companies, but also to provide services in forecasting, financial planning and evaluation, while creating and monitoring new technologies. Marist’s accounting program prepares our students for future-proof careers in accounting with a strategic balance in the theory and application of accounting foundations and niche specialty areas.

The Information Technology and Systems major at Marist bridges the gap between computing technology and the business world. By developing skills both areas, you will be well-prepared for the development and implementation of information systems and technologies in a variety of organizational settings.

Political and economic realities today ensure that no education can be considered adequate without the ability to understand the perspective of cultures other than our own. The French perspective affords students three distinct features: a tradition of inquiry into the meaning, structure, and practice of language; a history of thought, literature, and fine arts that has shaped the Western tradition; and a rich diversity of African, North American and Asian cultures which still choose French as a primary or secondary mode of expression.
