• The Computer Science, B.S. with a concentration in Network Security allows you to focus on network infrastructure and network security aspects, preparing you to handle IT security infrastructure challenges for businesses around the world.

Focused on culturally competent school counseling and social justice, the School Counseling, M.S. helps you become a compassionate, effective advocate for the academic, social, and emotional success of pre-K–12 students.

You’ll gain a broad foundation on prevalent topics in school counseling today, including leadership, group counseling, working with special needs students, college counseling, and school violence prevention. You’ll also acquire the critical experience you need through a practicum and internships under the mentorship of a tenured school counselor in a pre-K–12 school setting.

We also offer a Bilingual Extension, which can be completed simultaneously with your school counseling degree. The extension includes a minimum of six additional credits, as well as bilingual practicum experience to prepare you to work specifically with bilingual/ELL students and their families. NYSED certification will require documented proficiency in the target language by independently passing the New York State Bilingual Assessment (BEA).

• Help companies around the world keep important data safe, limit risks, and recover from attacks with the Cybersecurity, M.S. This program is ideally suited for those with engineering or computer science undergraduate degrees.
• You’ll design, implement, and maintain software tools to support network security across multiple operating systems, overseeing the information lifecycle of an organization from planning and acquisition to implementation. • Through the Energy Management, M.S., you’ll master the latest technologies used in green buildings, power systems, and facility security. You’ll learn about the wind energy, advanced batteries, and smart grid systems that are transforming the way we generate and deliver electricity, and conduct state-of-the-art research in our Energy and Green Technologies Lab. You’ll work side-by-side faculty who are experts in facilities management, risk assessment, and alternative energy systems.
• To fit this program into your busy schedule, you can attend classes at either our Long Island campus or fully-online. Weekend and evening courses are also offered.

The Data Science, M.S. is designed for students with a computer science or related background interested in pursuing data analytics, machine learning, visualization, and more. You'll learn how to employ data science concepts and methods to solve problems in business and scientific contexts and communicate these solutions effectively. You'll study computing theory, languages, and algorithms, and use mathematical and statistical models to formulate and implement data analyses and learn to apply them ethically.

Our practical curriculum incorporates case studies in advanced topics of computer architecture from classic and modern processors, including large-scale systems. You may also participate in sponsored research projects alongside faculty members from funding sources such as the Department of Defense.
